Might be available based on his injury status. I'm not sold on his clutch performance, but with the Steelers picking so late, might be worth a flyer.

I think he needs to go back to school for another season.

That's a bit extreme but if he is sitting there in rounds 5-7 I'm using a pick on him.

If he lasts until the 3rd or 4th round, then sure. I am not sold on his abilities, and he has some major developing to do in order to succeed at the NFL level. He struggles mightily against pressure, has limited improvisational skills, doesn't have an elite arm, isn't a high end athlete for the position.... That isn't to say that he can't be a good player, but he projects as a pocket passer that is going to succeed and fail solely based on whether or not he becomes an elite "processor" at the position. Pre and post snap reads have to be perfect and ball placement needs to be perfect. He will have to become "Tom Brady" in a sense. That doesn't mean he has to become the best ever, but Brady had a lot of the same knocks. Poor athlete, no improv skills, non-elite arm strength... but he became the best between the ears where it matters the most and he turned into an absolute beast.

I think he projects similarly to Kenny Pickett. He is probably a better passer than Kenny, but is just as uncomfortable in the pocket and a lesser athlete than Kenny is. He can be a good player, but there are others I would prefer us take a shot on. Dart and Howard are my favorites for the class. Ward has a lot of work to do "in-phase" and I just don't trust the leadership abilities/personality of Sanders. Not the guy I'd want leading the franchise.

Naw, Ewers and Milroe are just candidates that are too meh. I think both would benefit by getting reps in the UFL or Canada and get further development. Howard, McCord and Dart are better prospects even if we're talking about career backups.

there may be a couple of others too that might fit the bill in later rounds. rourke, daniels and maybe throw in a brady cook and cam miller. there is some talent in this draft but not elite.

All this talk about QBs and no discussion on who on the staff could develop a QB.

Howard or McCord is the better prospect, IMHO.
