The kid had a good first week of practice. He and Kelsey had picks so far. Good to hear. Would be a huge boost to this group. Maybe just maybe we aren't in as bad of shape as many think. I know it's early yet.

 

Come on Mac. We are a 5-11 team at best! MT has no clue, Ben is inconsistent, Bell will hold out until the last quarter of the final game, TE will fail at LB and DB both (at the same time), we have no receiver behind AB, we can't stop the run, we lose to inferior teams (I still have no idea what this means to this day), and we have no idea how to draft. We will beat Cleveland once (not the first time we play them...we will lose that one for sure) and we will beat the Ravens once. So, as I said, I see us as a 2-14 team at the end of the season!

One of my fav dark horses of our UDFAs. You don't lead FSU in tackles for 2 years and NOT have some skills.

 

I know nothing about him. If he looks good it just makes for a more difficult decision for the staff.

it will be a lost season.

I am not surprised. We are talking about a former five star recruit here. Granted, some of them do not pan out in the NFL. However, some have; superstars even.


Not saying Matthew Thomas is a superstar but he is doing all the right things simply to make not just the roster but an impression that he can heed the call should the inside linebacking depth go critical.


Coincidentally mac, me and you both discussed him as being a late round target to us. Well...., nabbing him as an UDFA turned out better than we thought.

 

Athleticism, playing against good competition in college, coming in as an UDFA saving money are 3 positive things that he brings. The rest going forward if he pans out are huge additions.

 

They just waived him to make room for the TE Hodges and an OLineman.
