This'll be Ben soon

This is a classic photo of Y.A. Tittle after a grueling hit by a Pittsburgh linebacker in 1964. It was pretty much the end of his career (he was 38). A great story about this photo from the Smithsonian (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/fallen-giant-144796136/). You could probably replace Tittle's name with "Big Ben" and I fear the story will be much the same.

To Ben's credit. He is about the only NFL QB left today that gets punished just as badly with no flags thrown.

 

Like when Crosby of the Raiders hit him, and there was no flag thrown.

Thats a great story and a classic picture. Although most of us never make it to the pros most of us experience the end of the road wether we were good high school or collegiate players. Nothing like playing ball it’s a magical thing.
