Have been thinking, and watching Kyle Hamilton. The teams He played against aren't exactly world beaters. What if He's just Hyped up like a former N.D. player Manti Te'o.
Who was considered the next coming... up until He got run all over by Bama.
I had heard all Year how He could be a top 5 pick .
I know a bunch of N.D. fans said it was just a bad game, but You have seen how it turned out for Him.
    Not saying.....Just saying.

    Manti Te'o part 2?????

There are rap songs that reference it. Lol it's almost pop culture famous. It was some crazy ****.

As for Hamilton, I like Jalen Pitre more. I think Hamilton will be like our 1st round Safety the last 4 years. Good but not special.

Hamilton will be good, but not a perennial all pro like some are projecting.... I'm not a fan of his man cover skills .... He's more of a zone player....

My horses at the safety position are still Smoke Monday and Kerby Joseph

i mentioned a little about hamilton before. not a troy second coming i don't believe. like you i like pitre. if you look at the numbers, which i do, hamilton doesn't have much different numbers from any of the others really. plus he's slower. pitre may not have the pick numbers but he has those and creates other numbers like forced fumbles, tackles for loss, passes defended and can move around the field and match up better. but hey that's me. i hope it's not us that take hamilton that early. i see another edmunds. good but not great.

Interesting choice with Smoke Monday. Most scouting services don't like him all that much. He's a larger safety for sure. Seems to lack tackling skills. Would be interested in hearing you on why you like him so much. Are you saying at number 20?

Smoke Monday is a great tackler, he racked up over 170 tackles the last 2 years at Auburn. He is a very physical player and would be great against a team like the Ravens who like to run the ball. His downfall is pass coverage, he needs a lot of work in that area.

Beat me to it....... He's a hell of a blitzer as well, and is a leader with great character...
He also absolutely loves the game and hates taking time off or taking any plays off.... He's just what we need on the field and locker room..... And no, I wouldn't take him at 20, but if he's available in the 3rd or the unlikely 4th, then I think we have to pounce on him

I’m not sure which is crazier. His imaginary girlfriend or somehow managing to miss one of the biggest news stories of that draft.

ok. The scouting reports I read said he had a tendency to go after the big hit and slip off tackles. I would take him in the third round definitely

There are always top projected players that drop..... only two more weeks before we see who those players are..... and if the Steelers have the discipline to pick "their guy" or someone that (media) surprisingly drops.... maybe that's Hamilton or someone else.

Those players only drop with the media and fans. Teams have been spending tens of thousands of dollars scouting these players for at least a year. Whereas the media and fans might spend minutes/hours looking at video. In short a player that”drops” on draft day did so weeks/months ago with teams.

I don't know about that. I think his slow ass 40 time surprised even the highest paid scouts out there.

His pro day 40 time was rumored to be a 4.74 and I don't think anyone saw that coming.

His time scares the hell out of me; I ran a 4.6 in High School and a 4.5 in College. The Steelers should never draft a DB that is slower than me! :)

I thought he was more of a 5/6th rounder.. I like him personally, but most drafts have him going pretty late.

Yeah ycould be right. I was thinking of his size and his ability to help in the run game.

In fairness, if you can run a 4.5, you are pretty fast.

The combine is an entertainment event for the masses. The only people scared by his numbers are people like yourself.
