    Why....it is a rap album. I still own it. Of course I have only owned a few rap albums in My life.
    NWA : 1988 version of Straight out of Compton, Beastie Boys : 1986 License 2 Ill, Cypress Hill :1991 Cypress Hill, Ice Tea : Original OG, and the Colors sound track. The album You showed is all I kept. I gave the rest away.

    Bzzzttt. Rock, metal, classical in that order. To me grunge was a sad dumbing down of rock music.

    You don't like Jazz? Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane is damn good music.

    Grunge was a return to the roots of rock music.

    Soundgarden = Led Zeppelin
    Pearl Jam = The Who
    Alice in Chains = Black Sabbath/Beatles
    Nirvana = Sex Pistols/Clash
    Stone Temple Pilots = Zeppelin/Sabbath

    Van Halen was a great band, but their sound was vandalized and shat upon by the many hair bands that followed and imitated.

    Thank the gods for Kurt Cobain!

    Yes, jazz and blues as well, but they’re well behind the other genres for me. I like seeing jazz and blues live in clubs, but otherwise I never listen to them other than Hendrix or SRV from time to time. Absolutely despised Cobain. Bet hey, we agree that hair bands sucked.

    I have to admit....liked Def Leppard Pyromania and Quiet Riot Metal Health albums. It was a childhood, 1983 thing.

    Speaking of rock music....in 1969 there were 3 bands that sounded like no others and stuck out like sore thumbs.

    1. The Doors
    2. Black Sabbath
    3. Pink Floyd
    This was years before Dark Side of the Moon. Epic bands.

    Pearl Jam blew there load early on. Liked the 1st two albums 10 and Vs. Grew tired of Vetter's voice.

    So many bands listed in this thread. Being a musician/guitarist who needs ear candy try:

    Allan Holdsworth, John Mclaughlin, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Al DiMeola, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Adrian Belew, Eddie Van Halen just to name a few.

    Come on chicken little. I'm not a Tomlin fan because I think he's a pound a game plan into the square hole type and doesn't seem to adjust but.. Cleveland is still whatever they are..
    Is anyone really buying the Lamar train in ratbird city? Dude should have switched positions in college. He's more built than RG3 was but not cam newton. He's a faster Josh Rosen and that's being nice. there's a reason he ain't signed yet and that reason is the above mentioned Cleveland idiots and their guaranteed money to the rub out artist. Cincy is really good but with Pickens falling some how to the WR gurus in western PA I think the Steelers match very well position to position with them cause their Oline was trash last year and last year is all that counts right now, until the first snap later this week. After that maybe I'll slide these rose colored glasses off my nose, but just a little. So Dolphins of 72 the black and gold is coming for you!!!! Well for the next 7 days any way....

    I recently watched Woodstock99 on Netflix. Durst was insane on stage. And I say this with a staunch record of hetrosexuality, Flea of the RHCP has a big old penis:) I did not know he played butt ass naked.

    Cleveland and Baltimore have better o-lines and DBs. Not to mention their QBs have years of experience on Pickett.

    Fred Durst wishes he was Zack De La Rocha. RATM birthed Nu Metal and majority of these bands sound. For some reason the documentary didn't talk about it but RATM and Metallica really set off Woodstock99. You can watch it on Youtube.
