The year they followed up a Super Bowl by missing the playoffs was Taylor's best?

It's not like Cowher hit any homeruns with cornerbacks either.

Again not the point. You said not one of Tomlin’s assistants was woo’d by another team. Once again you were wrong.

Which is as ironclad a reason as Arian’s retirement.

Agreed. If the standard is someone like Deshea Townsend, then we could look at people like Antwaan Blake, Bryce McCain, Bryant McFadden. I'm not saying Blake and McCain were pro bowlers or anything, but they played much better here than they did at any other teams.

That's perhaps not a stellar track record, but it certainly isn't nobody whatsoever.

Maybe not homeruns... but Taylor, Townsend and McFadden were good enough to contribute to 2 Lombardis to the trophy case.

I'm still trying to figure out why, after the Jax PO debacle, we let go the OC who put 40 on the board but kept the DC who gave up more to lose the game. That's a Crazy Town coaching move IMO>

Brady at Dinosaur age seems to be doing well in it with no issues. Arians has had a few other QB's before brady that didn't get killed either. Arians has gone on to be a 2x coach of the year and win a super bowl as well. Dont think Arians or his offense was the issue.

I Liked Arians ...so what I say is not necessarily against him, but I can see why people say this....He got A.Luck, and Carson P...hurt with this style of offense, and Even Arians said He changed some for Brady.

Fair enough but at least he saw when change was needed and adapted. We all know Ben doesn't really like to change unless its forced on him and that usually results in more of his passive aggressive behaviour "Maybe i should retire" BS. Ben is Ben and always will be.

Once again I was right .Munchack was no way staying here, He told the Steelers that....He didn't want to be here anymore...He wanted to be Home with his Family ( and probably away from Tomlin)

Different era and game. The rules are geared toward high output from the Offense now and The Steelers didn't have salary cap issues, ie. Franchise QB with a high price tag. Major differences.

You must not remember Ben holding the ball too long and taking big hits, and Arians was too stubborn to change his offense, so Art ll got rid of him.

You said not one assistant was courted by another team. Munchack was. Just because he didn’t take the job is irrelevant to your original statement.

No, He wasn't courted! He left because of his Family! When Denver fired their OL Coach, Munchack applied.....IF............He didn't get the Denver job ( the ONLY ) job he was going to take...He wouldn't have coached at all!

Maybe you meant something different that what you posted. The Packers and Brows requested permission to interview Munchak. That would be considered courting or wooing. Whether he was interested or not is irrelevant to your statement that “not one of Tomlin’s assistants was woo’d by another team”

He was excessively arongant and thought he was more important than the head coach and owner. Once he made that clear publicaly he burned his bridge and had to go as OC. Plus, he was great between the 20’s. He sucked inside the 20’s.

He has done well as a HC.

Even if what you say is true...Tomlin didn't " develop" Munchack! He was a HEAD COACH prior to joining the Steelers for God's sake ! Tomlin developed Munchack lol...Please stop Glemm!
