this team is stupid and undisciplined

Just texted my cousin, "Tomlin has let this become one hell of an undisciplined team!"

 

A while back we really tightened up on penalties. I think it was last season? We did pretty well.

So they need to work out what they did then and do it again...

 

And playing Jones on the last drive and not Harrison. Stupid. They could not block him all game when he was in!

 

We can't win with this defense. It's time to start over. I'm not conveniced that the secondary is bad either.

 

It's like Cowherd said recently, "Not buttoned up."

 

No, it's Tomlin's fault! Everything is!

 

I don't disagree with the fact that the players are stupid, Blast. But where does the stupidity stem from? Are Bill Belichick's players generally regarded as stupid? Football intelligence begins and ends with the HEAD COACH!

 

I don't disagree that the players own their performance, but it's clear that Tomlin can't change this culture. These dumb type penalties have been occurring for too long now and he's really the only constant during that period. Whatever he is doing isn't working and let's face it, if not for a dumber, more disorganized team (see any similarities between Marvin Lewis and the path Tomlin is going down), the Steelers would be going on year 6 w/o a playoff win.

This team is too talented for the meltdowns they continue to have and it's time for Tomlin to go.

Let's not pretend it was only Davis. The play before, Gay grabbed Beasley's facemask and got away with it.

The refs missed some calls all day, but the Steelers got the benefit on that one.

Exactly!! You dont see the Patriots making stupid plays and going for 2 pt conversions. They take the points early!! Only Tomlin-He has to go!!!

 

Uh, I think he knows who Cowherd is, but there are a few of our fellow board members who refuse to acknowledge his existence or want to question his credibility because he dared to call the coaching ability of Tomlin into question.

I'm glad others are finally seeing this. Yet people will still say JJ is good against the run. This is nothing new. .

 

I don't know what he's preaching - but the results aren't changing so it's either the message (assuming your point that's not the issue) or the messenger. At some point, you change the messenger because they're not listening to what he's saying. All his coach speak certainly isn't doing it.

 

Maybe that too.

But many of his criticisms about Tomlin were ON POINT!!! (IMHO)

 

I'm sure he is preaching it, but no one is responding when it's altar call time!
