This team has heart

Listening to sports radio this morning and hearing them talk about how the dolphins players should have been playing as hard for the last coach as they did yesterday for the new one. That got me thinking about how hard the guys our playing for us with all the injuries. You see Vick going out and making blocks and standing in the pocket Monday taking a hit to make the throw. Then Landry yesterday taking a big hit on the TD throw and being picked up and by the guys. Ben on the field helping carry players off, the defense giving it their all. I just like to see a team that is showing heart and trying to win no matter what happens. It would have been easy for guys to just tank the season and get a pay check.

 

This team seems to have bought in. Not sure what is different this year but you even saw it at the end yesterday with Tomlin pounding his chest when the defense walked off the field. I think the defense read a lot of the headlines this summer on how the offense was going to have to carry the team and the defense was the weak spot. The defense is playing with a fire and edge that I haven't seen in a couple of years. Also seeing Haley pat Harrison on the helmet after he walked off that last possession shows how much they are playing like a team right now. The hope is we can get healthier and not lose anymore guys the rest of the way, if possible. This team could be scary if healthy come playoff time.

 

Yes they have definitely shown some heart. Unlike in the preseason, where they just looked like shart.

 

Cam Heyward. He is a bad man setting the tone for that defense. Not to take anything away from the other guys like Harrison & Timmons.
