One can argue the TD. One can argue the failed interception. One can argue Ben's stupidity in not spiking the ball. In my mind, it is Haley with his eternal dumb play-calling that doomed the outcome of the game.
When he called for a run on 2nd & 23, I nearly had a heart attack. Maybe I should not have been surprised since that was vintage Haley. I think he is the worst of offensive coaches. He gives me heartache nearly every game. Has he ever heard of passing on 1st down. GEEZ...

I hated the draw to fitz, but there was 9 minutes to play in the game.

Agreed. I hate that play call as well, but I had a much larger problem with what they did on next possession, the three-and-out. The run on first down was a mistake and no receiver should have been in a route short of the line to gain on third down.

This will only contribute to the claims that I hate ben, but whatever. Ben missed a wide open Eli on that 3nd and 4 play. He locked onto juju and ignored Eli who was wide open and past the first down marker.

Yea guys like Touissant and DHB had no business being on the field during critical moments of the game yesterday. The fact that Haley was trying to get them the ball in the 4th quarter as much as he did was absolutely absurd.

The draw play is a good safe conservative play call that should have never been part of the game plan for that reason. They needed to stay hungry not play it safe. That doesn't even cover how predictable it is for the Steelers because they use it all the time when they are way behind the sticks they try to spread them out with multiple WR and run the draw. Only the execution stinks since it has the Oline going backwards in a fake pass block and doesn't allow the wr's enough time for their routes to drag the coverage backwards. At this point they should run PA off it because everyone knows they are running g it.

Why does a loss always have to be someone's fault? How about they played their ass off and almost won without their MVP for 2/3 of the game and the Pats just got one or two more breaks than they did, like on the INT.

For those who blame Ben, which is pretty much everyone, Rodgers is wide open. If he isnt interfered with, Ben hits him for the easy TD and we're talking about how great and gutsy he is today.

And the interception was a fluky deflection spawned by Belacheat and Brady selling their soul. Most times that is just an incomplete pass. Contracts with the devil also explain the coaching brain farts that allowed them to win their last two Superbowls.

Ben made the decision where to go with the ball based on the defense he read. Haley's job was to give Ben options.

I guess Touissant was on the field because Conner was injured and Bell needed a breather. Brown was hurt so Eli was next man up. It's possible the Pats decided to take the other WR's away and Ben had no choice but to throw to Eli.
