This is our biggest win vs. a quality team since ...

 

Commanders last year.

 

We beat 4 good teams last year…. Broncos, Chargers, Ravens, Commanders.

I think that this was a bigger win than those, since Indy was rolling and the #1 team in the conference (and we kinda owned them). But we can’t act like we haven’t beaten any good teams in a while either.

 

From time to time on message boards I've seen posters ask "when have you ever seen a Mike Tomlin-coached team beat a better team?"

1) I submit we saw some of that in 2019, the "Mason Rudolph-Duck Hodges" year.

2) I submit we've seen some of that in the post-Ben era.

3) I submit today was such a day.

We got lucky this time

 

How did they get lucky when they kept the lead from the second quarter on.

 

We didnt just beat a good team, we beat the hottest team in the league.

 

And still let them hang around with only 3 minutes and some change left. We just cant win cleanly.

 

You mean we couldn't put away the team with the best record in the league? Seven other teams couldn't beat them at all.

 

Lucky? They outplayed the Colts today.

 

Sorry pal. No luck involved in this win.

 

I understand that the Colts are the hottest team in the league, but our best win of the season was Week 3 against the Patriots.

 

It helps that 2 of our losses are NFC teams.

 

Some of you need to watch other games for a little perspective.

I thought our win over the Patriots was kind of lucky but today we were physically superior to the Colts and forced those turnovers by just beating them up.

 

We all know the colts beat themselves

 

It helped that Daniel Jones suddenly remembered that he was Daniel Jones and played lousy. The Colts have a tough schedule from here out they could have a late season collapse.

They are all NFL teams so it’s our biggest win since about 3 weeks ago

 

Since beating the 7-2 Patriots in Foxboro in week 3 just this season.

 

Coming into this week, the Pats had played the easiest SOS in the NFL. It was a good win in Buffalo, but they're a product of their schedule more than anything. Not their fault though.

 

I wasn't worried once they were up three scores in the fourth quarter.
