Why not double dip at both positions? They lost 2 WR to free agency so draft a big physical WR and a fast WR. At CB this is Taylor's last season depth is needed the draft pick will need to be in the rotation next season.

I could see us doing that. My mocks have gone all over the place, but I could see something like this:

    1. WR Benjamin - I think Evans will be gone by our pick, and I think this kid has untapped potential yet.

    2. DE/DT Tuitt - He fits our scheme

    3. CB Purifoy - His stock has slipped, but I could see either of the guys from FLA going to us.

    4. CB Desir - I think he may be the one player we all agree on.

WR in the 5th or 6th looking for the next Brown.

This thread gave me deja vu. Anyway, if they take a WR in round one, I can't really see them double dipping at WR.

I agree with TTF... I doubt we're gonna double dip at WR. Unless of course we think neither Moye nor JBrown can play at all. CB is almost a certain double dip for us. If we don't take 2 corners (one of whom is drafted very high) there's something wrong with us.

Like many, I also see a lot to like in Desir. However, I'm consistently seeing him ranked well above our (assumed) 3rd round comp pick. Purifoy looks borderline. I don't see us waiting until the end of the 3rd round to grab a corner. I also wouldn't overlook Jean-Baptiste from Nebraska. I know he's not a burner, but I think he'd be a nice corner in our scheme.

By the way, for those interested in Desir - on youtube someone posted some full games from his senior season at Lindenwood where you literally get to watch every snap that he played in both the "all 22" view and end zone view. If we could get that kind of tape on all prospects, it would make player evaluation SO much easier (and I would be able to have something other than a ton of college football games on my DVR).

It would make sense if a player like Donte Moncrief was still on the board at the end of the 3rd compensatory pick or if he was still there in the 4th, that's good value right there.

Whether you like Ebron, Amaro, Seferian Jenkins, Fiedorowitz, Niklas etc., TE is more likely than a 2nd WR IMO.

We got enough freaking TE's already, if you can draft another talented WR to challenge Moye or J. Brown do it.

Having TE's and TE's that have talent are 2 different things. We basically have 2, Heath and Spaeth and Spaeth isn't exactly going to keep DC up at night with his catching skills. They will absolutely be taking a TE this draft, Ebron, Niklas, CJ, Amaro, Jenkins, one of them or somebody else not on my radar will be in black and gold this year.

This. It may be later in the draft, but I totally see a TE getting taken in this year's draft. The draft is deep at WR, so you could get a good player after the 3rd round at that position. The same really can't be said about TE. I would prefer a CB in the first but if Gilbert, Dennard, and the WR Evans are all gone... Ebron is BPA. Simple as that. I wouldn't be upset with this pick at all if the aforementioned are already selected.

I'm definitely in favor of taking a WR early, but I wouldn't take a second one. CB on the other hand I would DEFINITELY take two. This draft is so deep, you can still get a very serviceable corner in Round 5 and maybe even 6.

If they take a TE draft one in the later rounds, they need to load up on defense in this draft.
