No matter how bad things get, they've never been this bad.

The Bengals under Marvin Lewis have the following record

    Primetime games - Won 8, lost 29 = .216%
    Playoffs - Won 0, lost 7 = .000%

That's a special kind of bad right there

Kind of reminds me of what I read about the 90s Bengals not winning much of anything.

This time however, Marvin cannot seem to win in primetime or the playoffs... so that seems to be quite the allusion to those 90s teams in terms of disappointment.

Yeah.... but the Bengals don't have the talent at QB, RB and WR that the Steelers have. AJ Green is good... but he's no AB.

We're wasting Ben's Super Bowl window with inconsitent play on offense and a defense that can't stop the run and gives up too many splash plays.

I'm really surprised the Bengals keep hanging on to Marvin Lewis.

Lewis is on a 1 year extended do or die contract, looks like he will be fired after this lousy performance season, maybe his players are playing lousy to get rid of him, ya think???

This was just supposed to be some light humour, not really meant to compare the two teams. AJG is better than good though, he's a future HOF and he's absolutely no worse than AB. They are both among the top 5 WR's in the game.

I see a lot of similarities between lewis and tomlins coaching abilities, they both have undisciplined teams, they both make stupid play calls during the game, they both cant win close games, neither one of them can prepare their teams for game day, only difference between them is lewis is on a 1 year extension and tomlin cant be fired for incompetence....

I definitely think Lewis is gone if the Bengals miss the playoffs this year. Actually I think he's still out if they make the playoffs and go one-and-done again tbh.

Maybe we'll pick him up as a a LB coach.

One thing is for certain. The AFC North is very much up for grabs and whoever wants it more better start taking action right away. It'll be a difficult road to the playoffs but not an impossible one.

Not one of the 3 teams fighting for it suck more than the other two do right now and any of them could possibly turn their season around. Question is who will it be?

I disagree with this, respectfully. I think Lewis is 10x the coach Tomlin is. Lewis is saddled with a bunch of idiots on defense led by another idiot in his D coordinator. If these 2 coaches switched places, Lewis in Pittsburgh would be running away with this division this year.

I've lived in Cincinnati now for the better part of 2 decades. There isn't a Bengal fan out there that wouldn't take that trade.

    Lewis for Tomlin.

Careful for what you wish for.

They don't call him mediocre Marvin for nothing.

Fans calling for Marvins head!!! They Still think they have a shot at the Division even with a tie in their overall record don't think that will get you the division unless the winout in the AFC north or certain win or loses senerios work in thir favor. Pacman and Burfict still going low on players.

It would be funny if the AFC North winner went all the way to the AFC Championship game.
These 3 teams just need to get their act together.
They got talent, just not using it.

I don't like the negative culture on this team right now, it doesn't bode well for the rest of this season......

The moment Ben started to make comments about discipline and focus I felt like Tomlin is losing this team. It only causes problems to have this in fighting among the players. Tomlin coming to ABs rescue regarding him running out of bounds will help but he is very close to losing this team entirely.

Hell... I knew the ship was sinking after the Eagles game. Worst loss in 27 years. Steelers don't lose a game like that... even the 6-10 teams of '03 and '99 didn't lose that bad and completely give up.

Ben is contributing to that wasted time as much as anybody else on the team. He admits as much in his interviews.

How do you define the negative culture? What do you see that indicates this?

So that means that the Bengals have made the playoffs 7 times under Lewis? By Bengals standards that's freaking awesome.

Sorry... I have a tendency to be a "glass half full" kind of guy.

I agree... Ben plays well at home and terrible on the road. It's like two different QBs. Too bad the Steelers have 4 more road games.

I've been wondering the same thing. In '05.... he ran the table of hostile road games in Cinci, Indy and Denver. Played great in every one of them with lesser talent around him in the skill positions than he has now with Bell and AB.

personally i think once teams figured out to stop blitzing him, he got lost lol. His numbers against the blitz are insane.
