Things are going too good for the Steelers this preseason.

A few years back my friend was super pumped, his NY Giants went 4-0 in pre-season. They went on to have a terrible season.

 

It's not intentional - he just has a governor on his keyboard that forbids him from typing a larger number before a smaller number separated by a hyphen. There's an App for that - it's called "Optimism 7.0".

Im always getting burned with memorabilia.
First was got gifted a signed Rod Woodson jersey the year before he left. This one over time ive felt better about.
Then, Got a Signed Kendrell Bell Football his rookie year because man did i think he was going to be great. Know how that turned out.
Then, Got a Alan Faneca jersey, 2 years later he was gone.
Then, Bought a Terrible Towel that was signed by James Harrison, really hate that now.
Then, Got a Signed Leveon Bell Funko Figure a year before his holdout, that sucks now.
And finally last offseason decided to buy an unopened Madden 19 game with AB on the cover, that was signed by AB, now im sick over that.

The only piece of memorabilia ive loved and always loved is a Signed Polamalu football that is encased and will never be opened or sold.
I have bad luck with this Sh@#.

Preseason has absolutely no correlation to the regular season. Hell sometimes even regular season games have no correlation to your overall record for the season. Just remember what happened last year in Week 3 when the Bills went into Minnesota and annihilated the Vikings after looking like the worst team in football for the first 2 weeks. Or how about the Ravens beating the Chargers on the road in Week 16 then turning around and losing to them at home two weeks later.

The NFL is wildly unpredictable week to week during the regular season. Trying to project how good your team will be from the preseason is absolutely insane.

Teams can go from looking like world beaters one week to trash the next and vice versa.

Remember Week 1 last year? Tampa Bay beat New Orleans. Everyone was freaking out about it thinking the Saints were in trouble and the Bucs were gonna be good. New Orleans ended up going 13-3 and the Bucs were 5-11.

You won't have a good idea of what team you have until we're 6-7 weeks into a season. Even early games during the regular season can be fool's gold.
