How can noone see this? This has been the ultimate question since we picked these 2 qbs up on a blue light special. I understand the enthusiasm, but like Blast stated, one team ate 80 million dollars to be done with Russ. The other, started 3 years and still struggling. But , hey, here’s optimism, Denvers coach sucks and the Bears organization sucks! Let’s go Steelers!
Once again, our qb play for the past few years has been so atrocious, that anything would be considered an upgrade at this point.
Another poster on here saying we will double our passing td numbers. That’s great, but lets see how that correlates into our win , loss record.

They can, I don't know if Wilson's contract has any stipulations about that, but the tag is going to be around 40 million...that's instant CAP hit cash in 2025. You might do that of you are trying to get a long term deal done, but doing so is very risky. If Russ has a decent year do you really want to pay a guy that old and tie up your CAP for 3-4 years. If Fields shows he is actually learning and had 10 games of decent play, do you want to risk the going rate based on that?

Perhaps they both stink and its no even an issue, but unless they can structure something mid=level like Baker or even Kirk, it could be a very long drought.

it's all bull-:poopy: we don't know if Russel Wilson or Justin Fields will suck everyone hates on the :steelflag: and it makes me:mad::mad::mad::mad: Because no one knows nothing yet.in a few weeks we will know and if it is bad we better get it straightened out next season. Wilson is a champ not a chump :nono: believing nothing till we see it be positive not negative we want number 7 SUPERBOWL not more 500 seasons or a little better:doh:

It's been said that our season hinges on the hope that Wilson isn't done but the same can be said for a lot of other teams. In my opinion, the list of teams who know exactly what they're getting from their starting quarterbacks is quite small.
Then there's the middling teams that aren't sure what they're gonna get. The Saints and Seahawks come to mind. Carr and Geno Smith could be good or just average.
Add in the fact that all 32 teams have the same fear of injury and I don't think the Steelers QB situation is as bad as people think. Obviously not great but certainly not bad enough to be number 2 but I'm not even sure I agree with 6 or 7 on the list.

    Dallas- worse
    Washington-better
    Giants - better
    Philly- worse

    Green Bay-worse
    Minnesota-better
    Detroit-worse

    Actually his statement was correct

    They “could” franchise one

He did not say they should

The people who like and agree read the sentence

The guy who disagrees whomever he is not so much probably a newbie

Can should whatever… unless they play lights out. I wouldnt suggest franchising either one at $40 million. Your choice you agree with it.
Me, no matter how i read it, disagree . Which i did read sentence.

Nope, but I would do that before signing Dak Prescott in free agency.

Najee would've had better rushing numbers the last two years if he didn't have to share playing time with Warren, which is why I don't think he will come close to 1,500 yards this season.

Just because Denver paid Wilson to go away, doesn't mean he can't be successful with the Steelers.

Interesting, both Seattle and Denver couldn’t wait to cut ties with him. Guess they aren’t interested in winning? Everybody’s fault but the common denominator.
And your other qb, noone wanted to give Chicago anything for him. But, wait, I forgot he only wanted to play for Tomlin. Talk about flipping the script.
All in all , not happy about qb room. But I hope they find success to make me and all the Steelers fans happy! Lets go!

On the bright side, we could lose 3 QBs to injury and not change our chances for the playoffs.
