Whether it's firing Butler or benching veterans on defense, it needs to happen. There's zero excuse for a team with this talent to be in last place. Status quo isn't working anymore.

The team just needs to play better. The offense did zero in the 2nd half. Ben didn't earn his money on 3rd down in the 2nd half.

at 1-2-1 the season is basically over. Atlanta will throw all over us next week with Julio Jones and Ridley.

We are past the point of "team needs to play better". Its clear these coaches aren't getting it done

Coaches will never be held responsible. Steelers way Sickening to see them outreached week in and week out.

The coaches put the players in position to have success. Ben missed throws or made poor decisions on 3rd down. Can't expect the win when the QB doesn't play well enough.

Coaches on this team get held responsible. Can't expect major coaching changes at this point of the season.

Coordinators get fired midseason all the time. Hell, Baltimore won a SB because they had the cahoons to fire their coordinator.

Maybe Butler will be fired, but we're still left with a Tomlin defense. It is built in his vision...this is the defense he has worked to build over the years. And it sucks monkey balls.

Ben should prob just retire after the season.. It's gonna be all on his shoulders and it's gonna wear on him by the end of the year.. I hope bell chokes on one of those twinkies that he's been fattening up on

Talent on defense?? Maybe Joe Haden and Cam Heyward. The others are common guys. It doesn't matter if you sit back or blitz. The defense only makes stops when the other QB is a little inaccurate. You don't have to be very accurate vs our defense. Coaches can only coach up the players given to them by the front office. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh** no matter how hard you try. That's what we are dealing with.

It doesn't help either when Bad Ben shows up. Looked like a junior high QB tonight. It would be nice to know if Randy or Ben called plays tonight.
Ben is getting what he wanted. Be careful what you wish for.

Cam Hayward has been invisible all season. This defense has 0 playmakers. Sorry Cam, it's true.

Was the Defense ever ready at snap?
Even the tv announcers made several comments about the confused Defense.

When the Steelers lost Ryan Shazier last year, that was the spark that will continue the next 2 to 3 year run of irrelevance. Steelers have bombed on too many first round picks to sustain any chance of a normal defense. The coaching is D+ at best. I think Big Ben plays one more year after this year and calls it a career. We need to hope our rookie 3rd rounder turns into a star in 2 years at QB, or we are eff'd for a while.

I assume you are being sarcastic but sometimes it's best to start with a fresh slate. Tomlin has had enough time. He has no more upside.

How many coordinators have gotten fired mid season in the past 5 years? I don't believe they get fired mid season all the time. It seems that HC's are more likely to get fired mid season than coordinators.

I thought they simplified it for the Tampa game? If the players are still confused then it is not a good defense.

Every player they drafted on D has regressed... just give it more time. The FA signings won't be far behind...it just takes longer to remove any development they may have received from their previous team...

Big Snack might be the greatest nose tackle that ever played. Not fair to throw that down on the man, haha.
