The Zone of Interest

Anyone get to see yet? I have great interest in WW2 and The Holocaust . My area theaters do not get current movies and sometimes they never reach us. I'd love to see this right now but will have to wait until HBO/MAX puts it on. Tempted to get on the Ferry and go to Delaware since that is closest place to see it for me but that would be one expensive movie.

Sounds very different from what we are use to seeing about this terrible time. It is from the point of view of Rudolf Hoss a SS officer living a middle class life with the walls to Auschwitz his back yard. They say you see none of the camp but will hear the screams from it as they try to live a normal middle class life. They say it's a seriously heavy watch.

I think it's up for a Oscar.

 

Haven't seen it , but I will.
