Honestly, as much as that sucked, its totally overshadowed by the other loss, for me anyway.

Michael Cudlitz whipping out a flask on Talking Dead.

I think him and Norman Reedus are wasted. :lolol:

I'm calling it now. Andrew Lincoln for Best Actor Emmy. That was amazing work.

I've known for months who was getting Lucilled (both victims, or at least both deaths allowing for maybe one to die some other way). As I said the night of the cliffhanger: "We're going to KNOW who isn't showing up for work!" Neither Steven Yeung nor Michael Cudlitz had been seen on set since the first week of filming back in June!

The rest I found out a few days ago. Reading it, I said "wow, this is dark. They're actually going to pay off that cliffhanger." Mind you, I still think the cliffhanger was a bad idea. This premiere should have been the finale last year. But there is going to be a well crafted payoff...

Watching it happen? That's a whole different thing. I knew what would happen, and it still was gut wrenching. My poor wife, who I kept in the dark, left her fingernail marks in my forearm on a few scenes.

This was TWD's Red Wedding. I have to give them credit. I thought they'd mess it up, and it turned out even worse than I imagined (in a good "story" way).

Yes, Glenn died this way in the comics as well. And Abraham was already dead by this point in the comics. I'm still sad to see them go. At least Abraham had a better death (defiant to the end) than he did in the comics. Without spoiling anything, the only consolation I can give to Glenn fans is this: He pretty much HAD to die. His death moves the story overall, and specifically Maggie's character in very interesting ways. We already saw the genesis of Maggie's future tonight.

That was great. All of it. And for fans who were mourning, it definitely helped lighten their spirits.

Don't get me wrong I liked Glenn but IDK I am not real broke up over it. I really liked Abe so for me that was the one that hurt the most. Either way both sucked and was very hard to watch.......

Well like we talked about yesterday I was wondering how you "knew for sure", over the last 2 weeks I read some comments on Facebook and so many people were posting what you said. I just couldn't get myself to believe it, kinda thought TWD wouldn't let it be that easy to find out and would have done a better job to hide it.

I tried not to read anything but as the summer came to an end and the weather started to get worse I found myself spending a little more time on the internet and I just couldn't but to read peoples post's. I did so good not reading anything until about 2 weeks ago and then I was like a little kid at a toy store with a pocket full of money. But still after I read people saying that Abe and Glenn haven't been on set since the 1st week I thought this was just a set up. I would not believe it until I saw it, and while reading I tried to stop myself from getting to much from what others said.

I think this season is going to take a different turn, we are going from fighting zombies to now fighting people. Very interesting story lines coming since there is so much going on. Let's not forget we still have the Carol and Morgan story add to where they are going that kingdom place which was not even touched last night. This season should be so action packed I can't wait.

My only negative part(excluding the deaths) about last night was how the hell could it only be 1 hr??? I didn't watch all the talking dead and I know that was 90 min, but I think we could of had a 2 hr premier. jmo.

Maybe I'm alone in this view, but I LOVED the episode last night. Best episode ever x 100 IMO. Yeah, it's sad to see both characters go, but to make an omelette you've got to break a few eggs. We've got one hell of an omelette coming up for this season.

Man, thats some man crush you have there :lolol:

Glenn has been there since the beginning, 7 years, a total selfless character. His lost is a much bigger impact, IMO. He's the one character that I always felt should survive the zombie apocalypse. And he had a baby on the way! I liked Abe but man, his loss isn't even a blip on my radar after they knocked off Glenn.

I kind of feel they made a mistake in that regard. They should have ended last season with showing Abraham getting killed and then this season pick up from the same scene and do Glenn. But I guess they felt after the long layoff, it wouldn't have had as much impact. Ray is probably right, this episode should have been the season finale.

What do you mean? They've been doing that. The Governor? Terminus? And if people were wondering what the difference would be between the Governor and Negan, they found out.

I am not saying I didn't like it as a matter of fact I thought it was pretty freakin good. I just didn't want Abe gone, and was just wondering why it wasn't longer. Last night was action packed and like I said before still have so many more story lines to hit. Man we are in for one heck of a season...........

Well I agree with you on Glenn, loved his character and it is a shame to go but let me ask you something. If you are going into a fight who would you rather have Glenn or Abe........I can tell you this I want Abe! I am also a one liner guy, when I am around my friends at camp or on the golf course we have some good times and I always end up with a funny saying........kind of like Abe. I guess that is why I liked him so much and with that said I am not gonna lie I really thought Negan was hysterical last night.....new man crush??????? You never know, lmao!

As far as the Governor and Terminus yeah they were people vs people but there was a lot of zombie fighting as well. I just feel like now it is gonna get away from the "walkers" and more on people. Yeah they fought other groups but this time it has a different feeling, the nastiness of Negan I feel is going to over take the story line and more people vs people. Not like before where there was a fight and it was over now there might be a fight every week, or something along those lines. Do you see what I am trying to say?

In a fist fight? Abe. Fighting the zombie apocalypse? Glenn, 100%. He proved his usefulness a 1,000 times over. Brains vs brawn, I'm going with the smart guy who just happens to be a pretty good fighter against zombies too.

Losing either sucks though. They should have taken Aaron :lolol:

I dont know how much fighting is going to be done in the next several episodes. The only one not mentally defeated was Maggie. New leader of the group? There have been signs of that in recent episodes. I always thought she was a very strong character, even while Glenn was getting his head bashed in, she remained strong.

I get your point though, feels like it will take a major backseat to the Negan storyline. Im sure they will work it in there somehow.
