That's just Rooker being Rooker. To quote Dirty Steve from Young Guns, "he ain't all there, is he?"

I thought it was kind of sucky that he didnt answer that girls question on the call in, with a straight answer. I've actually never seen him on a talk show, didn't know he was that goofy.

High marks for a great movie quote by the way. "Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken."

Fun episode after a couple of slow ones in a row. The strangest thing for me was finding an RPG and reloads in the middle of a town. They're just a few miles from the group that tried to ambush them, and that group somehow missed those? The only logical explanation that I can concoct is that the town was overrun with walkers until very recently.

Yeah, this one wasn't as grating as last week's contrived array of dialouge scenes were to me, but I agree with points above on Tina's death - that may well go down as the most patheitic death by walker yet. Also, the whole diabetes/insulin play. I found it a little strange that after the Unknown Bad Group plowed through the forest right up to the two escapees that Daryl was able to easily grab them and lead them away without being seen.

The Abraham/Sasha interactions were strange at times, but unexpected, and as such didn't appear to belabor a specific point or lesson home, so I was alright with that.

Hope the voice on the walkie wasn't Glenn. Not because I hate Glenn, more I fear them bringing him back falling over the thin line from credible plot twist into straight gimmick play. On the other hand, maybe they're teasing those hoping for his escape and are going to do a Sophie 2.0 at the mid-season break.

PArticularly disturbing for me as I just had to watch my dog go through that recently. That insulin shot would have put her through the floor with convulsions.

Not to mention the timeline is rather disjointed with them saying when it started they set the fire and are only a few miles away from the place they left....

Why no mention of the fire by the Alexandrians? A huge forest fire just 20 or so miles away would definitely be viewable from the smoke.

Perfectly good cigars sitting in a wooden box for how long????

They did say that they had set that fire "back in the start of things. " When they thought everyone was fighting them.

I did not go back a listen again but I thought it was Rick and after thinking about it maybe they were doing a flash back thing and we are going to see how he got out of the RV jam. The other thing I was lost on was how all of a sudden they aren't worried about the herd of walkers. Maybe I am thinking out of the box but I feel like they are doing a flashback kind of thing. I can't help but think the whole RPG thing is the way they end the herd but will bring in the other group????

That was the one thing I felt was really odd about the episode. The whole season so far has had a large focus on this herd that needs to be led away, and that's all Abraham and Sasha have been working toward. Then all of a sudden, they run into some gun play and completely ignore the fact that the herd is no longer being led. Granted, they moved it pretty far away from Alexandria, but unless I missed something, they weren't to the point they were trying to get to with the herd yet.

No, they were at the correct point. They said they had to lead the herd until the junction with 642, and that's what they did. The accelerated out of there because they needed to put distance between them and thwbwalkera when they turned off.
I'm left with a few questions after this episode. Who were the folks who ambushed Sasha, Abraham and Daryl? We're they the same ones after the blonde dude abdvthe two women?
Did Abraham even try to see if the hummer would run? If the RPGs and cigars were still there, chances are that it probably ran too.
As for the handheld radio, I'm saying it was probably the blonde guy. We'll see him dead up the road. Darryl will get his bike and crossbow back. I'd imagine the other woman with him will still be alive though.
My biggest flaw/nitpick with this episode was when the blonde dude stole the bike and crossbow from Darryl. We know that the guy has never killed anyone according to the three questions. Why didn't Daryl call the guy's bluff?

You are correct, they were at the point where they were going to separate themselves from the heard.

I'm thinking its the blond guy too.

As for why Daryl didnt call his bluff, easier said then done with a barrel of a gun in your face. You want to be the first person he kills? Also, he just double crossed him, so honesty and integrity might not be too high on his list, he may have been lying.

Problem 2 the other half of the herd heard the gunfire from Alexandria and headed that direction. This part should have heard the gunfire as well and headed that direction.

It was the horn that drew part of the heard to Alexandria.

I was just looking around- and I was a little surprised to have stumbled upon this. I love this time of year for 2 reasons. The Walking Dead & the Steelers.

I did end up finding out who was on the walkie. I'm usually not one to spoil the show for myself but I just had to find out. Don't worry, I won't tell!

I like this season so far- but I don't really like the way they have the time jumping around. My favorite characters are Carol & Daryl. I love the how much they've grown. It's crazy that it took a zombie apocalypse for them to find out how strong they are. I like Rick & Michonne too.

I know who's on the walkie too. Not saying either - except it's not anyone's first or second guess. ;)

I made a prediction a while back. I can now confirm that prediction is true. Which one? You'll see soon enough. muhuhuhahahaha (Seriously. You won't have to wait long. It's the very first scene tonight)

I'm a little bummed the first half of the season is almost over. Even more bummed that we're 2 episodes (including tonight) from the mid-season finale, and we've covered a grand total of maybe 36 hours.

I actually like that we're covering just a couple of days in several episodes. I like the way they dropped a bunch of bombs at once, and are now spending several episodes centered on the smaller groups to show how they've fared. I could have done without the hour and a half Morgan episode and some of the soap opera drama back at Alexandria, but overall well done. I have never seen the comics, so I'm looking forward to this "Negan" chap.

On the flip side, I am gradually making my way through the Fear The Walking Dead mini series on my DVR, and after about 3 3/4 episodes I think it's pretty bad. This is definitely the furthest I've ever gotten into a series where my connection to the characters ranges from neutral to flat to dislike. None of them have been compelling enough to even make me care what happens to them. If it weren't for the greatness of the TWD franchise, I would have already deleted FTWD from my DVR. I've intentionally avoided getting too far into the FTWD thread on this board to avoid spoilers, but I'm thinking about reading it just to get an inkling of whether I should just delete the series and cut my losses or stick it out because things are about to get more interesting. It probably doesn't matter, because the foreshadowing of stupid decisions to come by the characters is about as subtle as a sledgehammer, and I can probably guess what each one of the stupid characters is going to do, or have done to them.

FWIW, Fear was boring most of us to tears. I think around episode 5 it gets really interesting.

I don't know where you found out- but I get on spoilthedead. It's a forum too & they seem to know everything there. They have spoilers but they also have General show discussion & episode discussion too. If you don't know about it, check it out. It's great.
I'm sad the first half of the season is over too. It seems like every time I get used to it being on again, it goes back off.

On one hand, I'm anxious to see Negan- especially after finding out who's going to play him. On the other hand, because of what he brings with him, I could wait another season for him to show up. He makes the Governor look like a teddy bear.
I knew FearTWD would start off slow & I didn't mind that. My issue was with the characters too. After the amazing job they did casting TWD, I was really surprised. The only character I really liked was Tobias. And he's in like 2 episodes. Anyone else could've died bloody & I wouldn't have cared. I liked liked Kim Dickens better in Sons of Anarchy- and she was a prostitute. I'm hoping it gets better next season (& Tobias comes back.)

    :thumbs up:

(That.. and a few sources around the set).

I try to avoid specific spoilers unless a question really gnaws at me. But filming reports and such tend to point the story in a direction either way, even if they filmed scenes in secret.

I knew Beth was dying last year for months since she hadn't been seen on set in a long time, for example. But I tried to avoid the "how." If that makes sense.

Loved her in Deadwood (also a prostitute). She's a good actress.

Lol @ visiting spoiler sites. I typically don't get around to some of my shows until the day after they air and I feel like I have to almost avoid the internet entirely in order to safely go unspoiled anymore. :cautious:

I think it was Season 3 that I spoiled the whole mid-season finale for myself. I regretted it immediately. Since then, I really haven't looked- unless (like you said) something really gets to me. And I just really wanted to know if it was Glenn on the walkie- since his "death scene" just wasn't very believable to me for a few different reasons.

The name is a little misleading but Spoilthedead isn't all spoilers. They have speculation, season & episode discussion, General show talk, on & on. They do pretty good at keeping the spoilers in a specific place. I've been on there for a couple of years now & I don't think I've
ever accidentally seen a spoiler. I'm sure it happens- it's just never happened to me. They have a place for FearTWD too.

    This.

I've read there for years, but do not have a single post. IDK why. Just call me the lurker.

The episode and speculation discussions are good. ALL spoilers are kept in a little sub-section and that board is moderated very well. If you get spoiled in there, you asked for it because you went looking. ;)

Not like another forum I'm a member of where they just loudly yell spoilers all over the place because... well... they're a-holes. Needless to say, I avoid that place except in the off-season.

Can't believe the first half of the season is almost over. Next week should be a doozy (no. I know nothing. Haven't looked. Don't intend to.)

Ron stole bullets and is creeping on Carl?

    The wall is down?

We still don't know if the Wolves are still out there, or coming back.

I'm not sure how they handle a herd that size pouring in. Should be intense.

But maybe Abraham's "Checkhov's RPG" will come in handy.

    And...

Color me not surprised at all that Glenn is alive. Hey, TWD, if you want us to believe he's dead, maybe... just thinking out loud here... maybe DON'T have Steven Yeung highly visible filming in almost every episode for the second half of the season? Worst kept secret in TV land.

Yup. I can suspend disbelief for shows like this. But this scenario is really stretching it.

And there was really no reason to do it. None. You could have Glenn stranded, fate in doubt to the cast, and not try fooling the audience. Or leave his fate in doubt to the audience, but don't try to make them think they just saw him die, or give some lackluster way he survived. I suppose it's better than his coming out of a shower... but not by much. ;)

I'm going to put the rest of my comments in spoiler tags because it hints at a possible MAJOR future story for the show based on the comics. Don't click if you wish to stay innocent. ;)

And did they only do this to get the audience to let down their guard and think Glenn is safe??? Only to pull the rug out from under them? I mean, he's got a dance card for this number:

;) And frankly, I really hope they stick with the comics this time. Negan WILL come in with a bang (no pun intended). And I don't want them switching Glenn's fate out for Daryl.

Ray's not joking- Do NOT read that spoiler. Or this one-

    @Ray D@Ray D -
My wife doesn't know any of the comic plot lines, but during Talking Dead when they did the Memoriam and added 'for now' after Glenn, she asked, "Why did they say it like that??". It was really hard for me to keep quiet.
