I don't know much of the Negan character but Jeffery Dean Morgan was great in Magic City, damn good actor. I'm still pissed they pulled the plug on that show so abruptly. It was such a good show I never even heard it was in danger, I was shocked when I found out it was canceled. Looking forward to seeing what he adds to TWD.

I caught up on the last two weeks yesterday. It was quite difficult staying away from this forum.
As for "Here, Not Here", at first I kind of hated it. I still don't really think it belongs, but I understand why they did it. And yes, there's no doubt in my mind him keeping the Wolf is a bad idea. He's going to either escape, or Morgan will have to kill him (but I don't think he can).
As for just this past episode, I'm curious about Deanna. She seems like she is rather unstable right now. And I want to punch her son in the face.
I think we need another character cleansing. We saw Rosita for all of a few seconds, and didn't see Eugene at all, same thing with Carol. I get that Alexandria has a bunch of people, but we all know they're just walker bait in the long run. Only Alexandrians I can see surviving are Aaron and Jessie. Maybe Enid.

OK, so, I`m as upset as everyone else, that we don`t get to know for sure, if Glenn is dead or not, even tho Maggie left him for such...

And it bothers me that Rick, showed up with no explanation for how he got the rv moving, or escaped it...

No one has mentioned that Daryl left Abraham, and the girl in the car(Tyreese`s daughter, i think), leading the horde away from Alexandria, on his bike, to "go home" but, Rick got back there first, and Daryl hasn`t shown up yet??

    Ugghh ... Where`s Daryl???

Will this be next week`s episode, "What happened to Daryl"?

Or, "What happened to Abraham, and the girl in the car"???

I like the old school, "cliffhanger" episodes...

But, I like it better, when they include ALL the members of the groups` stories, in one episode, instead of breaking them up individually, week, by week..

    To each their own...

    It`s still a "captivating" series to watch...

After Rick's talk with Daryl (really, a speech to everyone involved) on the radio, Daryl turned around and went back to Abe and Sasha. All 3 of them are still leading the bulk of the herd away.

To me, some of the frustration in its breaking episodes down to individual storylines (in conjunction with the some of their over-cheesed writing) is the lack of continuity. Last week's episode had Rick scrambling back into camp just ahead of the walker horde, finding they'd just survived an attack from the Wolves. For him, the two main contact points would have been with Carol and Carl - yet Carol was missing from the entire episode and Carl's scant screen time concerned his thinking of going outside the wall to find Enid.

Rick's actions - well, discussions - were featured, but were we supposed to think he wouldn't have sought out Carl straight away to ensure his and Judith's safety, and Carol to get the lowdown of the attack? Or that we as an audience would care more to see some faceless Alexandrians used as props for others to give some overly labored speeches? Neither makes much sense. Breaking away from a compelling storyline to join another is a trope that is only really effective if the latter is in itself compelling as well, else the audience is left feeling frustrated, instead of re-engaged.

I dunno. I just think the show is straying from some of the more distinguishing and enjoyable characteristics it had early on.

I think the show is as good as ever, they are always going to be inserting new characters and develop them, thats how Abraham and his group got included into Ricks group and thats how some of the Alexandrians will become a mainstay. I can see Aaron and Jessie sticking around, possibly Deanna. Then there is Deanna son, Taras new GF, Jesses kids, their fate may not be short lived either.

A lot of characters involved with this show, cant all have face time every episode and continue to branch out.

@Bleed, Maggie didnt leave Glenn for dead, she took his name off the wall but shes pregnant and Glenn wouldnt want her out there risking her and their unborn childs life.

Next episode will focus on Darryl, Abraham and Sasha. I doubt we see a wink of Rick and the others in Alexandria. Judging by the scenes, Darryl is in a heap of trouble

JMO, but every time there are new characters there is also a big killing spree right? Not sure what this wolves group is going to bring but I think it is setting up for a massive kill. I did not read the spoiler someone posted on Negan but judging from what he said I may be on about this killing spree.

Every season pretty much has a killing spree, sometimes to start a season or sometimes at the end.

Negan doesn't get introduced until this seasons final episode, so unless its one doozy of an introduction, then the Wolves massacre will be this seasons killing spree.

Negan is a bad dude for sure but they are going to have to tinker a lot with his story line, its too massive to incorporate into the show. I don't know how they are going to do it so that it just doesnt play off as The Governor II.

There are only 3 episodes left, so we'll see him soon.

Well judging from the last 2 shows it could be a snoozer the next 2 weeks. This season got off to such a great start, I feel might have been the best season yet but the last 2 shows sucked, jmo. I know nothing about Negan but there has to be a way it leads up to him and a killing spree might just be how it happens leaving us hanging.......

Nah. There's 8 more episodes on the back half of the season, and I don't expect to see Negan until episode 16. He may have an impact scene, but the main part of his story won't be until next year.

There are reports that TWD also cast Steven Ogg. Rumors are he'll be one of Negan's men. If you played GTA V, Steven Ogg is Trevor. :D Should be fun.

Loved the Morgan back story episode. Last week was ok, can't have every episode go 100mph. Next episode looks to be really good.

I read he makes his debut in 3 more episodes? Before the hiatus.

I don't play GTA, so, don't know Trevor but sounding like Rick and the Alexandrians are going to have their hands full

Trevor in GTA V is a complete psychopath. Literally. He's simultaneously horrifying, loveable, brutal, hilarious, bizarre, lewd yet with a distorted sense of honor, and oddly charming while being completely repulsive. He's despicable, but you can't help but love him. He's basically Dan Fielding, Barney Stinson, Dexter, Ash, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and Booger from Revenge of the Nerds all rolled into one character.

Or a combo of Joffrey, Robert Baratheon, Bronn, Littlefinger, Ramsey Bolton and Tyrion.

And Steven Ogg just naturally looks and acts the part. He has crazy eyes.

I'm glad you're still liking it. I don't especially enjoy criticizing it, as I still watch it every week hoping to be fully pulled back in. It does with some episodes but - as with last week's - misses a lot, too.

I know what you're saying about the amount of characters. I just think there's a better way to weave the new faces and stories in such that it doesn't disrupt your engagement as much from the other things going on. The creative team now seems to make a point of oscillating from full speed ahead to dead stop, and I just find that clunky - the happenings and dialouge are starting to feel more synthetic than organic. I felt much more of the latter in seasons past.

Well, I'm talking about his character in GTA 5 (great game, btw). I have no idea who he's playing on TWD, but he's good at characters like that.

The actor was on Better Call Saul. Just a bit part from what I understand. Got his butt kicked by the old bald dude (sorry, don't know names) when he told him he couldn't take his gun off him.

Now this episode I wasnt really a fan of. I thought Daryls story was going to be much more intense, didnt care for Sasha and Abrahams story line or their budding romance. So much for Rosita!

How the blond girl died was stupid, Im guessing they just needed her for a sympathy player to make Daryl feel bad into returning her insulin. Then ok, your part is done, here, stupid death. And since when do Walkers sleep :hmm:

I guess the two people that double crossed Daryl are going to lead Negans group to Alexandria. Once again, Rick is right, cold hearted but right, Daryl should have stopped trying to recruit. Im assuming those people in the woods are Negans people.

The whole insulin thing was idiotic. That's not how diabetes works, and the writers were just looking for a guilt trip to get Daryl to go back. Seriously, if she's passing out, she needs SUGAR!!! Insulin will kill her. If a diabetic passes out from high sugar, they had SUPER health problems long before that. It's rare, and she certainly wouldn't be out on a family trek.

From what I understand, Abe leaves Rosita for another woman in the comics. I guess that other woman for the show will be Sasha. Leaves Rosita available for a very odd pairing in the comics. hehe

I can't blame Daryl for trying to recruit. They said and did all the right things all the way up until they double crossed him. Frankly, they probably would have fit in with Alexandria... they were just too broken by then to trust anyone.

2 best lines of the night:

    "We're sorry." "You're gonna be."

And right after hacking a man's arm off, "Come on. Walk it off." :roflmao:

Yeah, and "hes got a booboo" :lolol:

Daryls line was great and I agree, they would have fit in but you're probably right, just too broken.

So, what's the current speculation on who the voice on the radio saying "help" at the end was? My wife is convinced it was Glenn. I listened a couple of times, and I thought it sounded more like Adam, but I can't think of a good reason why it would be him.

Yeah, that was poorly done. It's certainly not the first time in the TWD universe where the writers forced a 'no one will question it' sequence to make a story line work, but it was perhaps the thinnest one.
Did he really say that? I missed it. That's hilarious! :lolol:

I couldn't make it out. FWIW, Norman Reedus said it wasn't Glenn in an interview yesterday.
Q: At the very end we heard some voice saying “Help” on the other end of the walkie-talkie. What can you say about that and what’s coming up next?
NR: I will say that voice is not Glenn.

I read that interview, as well. It was a really good interview, so I'm going to link it so others can read it, as well, if they so choose.

It didn't sound like Glenn, but I still have hope.

Abraham and Sasha together... blech. I like Sasha. I just don't care for Abraham these days. Rosita is better off given that Abraham didn't care that he banged her right in front of Eugene. Yuck!

What was Michael Rooker smokin' while on Talking Dead? Some of these people are so freakin' weird. Melissa McBride is another weirdo.
