So, what a good episode last night. I've been waiting for Rick to find his pair again and get some walker killing in. Although I do wonder if Carl was just appeasing Rick when he was telling him how the AR-15 worked. I had a feeling Carl already knew. :lolol: Nice to see such a Herschel-centric episode too. Left us with a ton of questions though.
What will Daryl's reaction be when Rick tells him about Carol? What about Tyrese?
How do they secure the prison now that some of the fences fell?
What does the re-emergence of our favorite eye-patched villain mean?

Yeah, good episode. Was the gov'nah feeding the walkers the rats afterall? Definitely going to be some drama over Carol's absence one way or another.

Maybe thats how Carol will work her way back into the group, she'll show up and save the day from the governator. Hope this doesn't set Daryl off, I like him being a team player.

I don't think he is the one feeding the walkers though, wasn't that person on the other side of the fence? I still think it's Lindsey, she thinks they're pets :lolol:

They're introducing several new characters this year that fans of the comics will recognize. I figure maybe Carol runs into them and leads them to the group.

That, or McBride needed time off from the show and they didn't want to just kill her off.

But with the Governor back, all bets may be off.

Okay, so I'm a bit confused. This episode isn't in the current day, is it? I'm assuming this is just telling us where the Governor was up until now?

    Yes.

I thought it was a good episode. I like complexity in characters. Don't get me wrong, I don't know that I could EVER trust the Governor. But it was cool seeing his being so conflicted, and dare I say it? Remorseful?

At his core, he wants to be the good guy. But he has that dark side that switches on so easily...

I'm curious where they're going with this and how he ends up back at the prison. And when he gets there, what are his intentions?

You know, when I realized that this episode wouldn't focus on the prison at all I was a little bit ticked. But the more I thought about it the more I like it. It was interesting to see his character evolution. I agree, knowing what we know, I would find it hard to ever 100% trust him. I'm curious what thoughts are going through Martinez's head when he found the Governor. Will he blow his cover with the women he was with?
I'd like to think the Governor is a changed person, and he was looking at the prison thinking about making amends. But somehow I doubt that was the case.

My thoughts/questions exactly after watching the episode. I can't believe he'd have good intentions, but this episode made me wonder just a little.

I felt that way at first, too, but it isn't the first time they've had a character centric episode like this. I ended up really liking it by the end.

They are trying to show you that he was a good guy before all this **** started. I think he is trying to find his way back to being that guy but I don't know if he can, I mean we are talking about a guy that was going to go full out torture mode on Michon

I think he is going to seek refuge at the prison with the 3 girls in his care, will Rick let him??? Would Michon stand down?

I was a little ticked too, about no scenes with Ricks group, dying to see how Daryl handles the news about Carol but I liked the episode overall.

I thought that was one of the best episodes yet. I thought it was well done all around, and thought it was great how they picked up where we last left the Guv'nah. My wife hated it, and said it was one of the worst TWD episodes ever. I had a couple glasses of homebrew wine, so my radar might have been off.

So the Governor is back. I really wasn't sure which way he was going to go, but I was having a hard time thinking he'd gone soft. He really primed the one guy (didn't catch his name on the show, but he played Charles Francis on Fringe). He set him up for the prison raid/takeover by killing (Peter?) and telling him he was right to want to kill the people on the smaller camp to take their supplies. He was doing that to get him ready to do the same thing against Rick and Co.

Great episode. When I saw they were dedicating another episode to the Governors group, I was like wtf, again?? But it turned out to be a great episode and necessary to show the battle going on inside of him and everything he has gone through since last season ended.

That said, I hope Michon lops his head off :lolol:

Kinda surprised everyone bought that Martinez fell off the RV and wandered into the ditch. What a way for him to go.
As was mentioned on the Talking Dead, I wonder what the Governor's end game is. He still is obsessed with the prison. What happens if he manages to kill everyone in the prison, then what? What is driving him?
And, who killed that other small group? In the show it didn't seem like they were gone from that camp too long before they wrapped back around. What other kind of evil lies out there? Is this another threat that we don't know about yet?
Can't believe the midseason finale is here already. How many people die? Think we see a main character from the prison go down?

    Obviously, it was Carol. ;)

No idea. But then we do know there are some number of hostile bands out there. Rick gunned down 2 members of one such - for lack of a better term - gang back in season 2.

Yeah, I just figured that it was another of the many groups of hostiles out there that we don't see on the show regularly.

I like these "inside the Governor" episodes, but I'm glad they're tying it back in to Rick and co. I think any longer would try a viewer's patience.

What a sucky way to go for Martinez. Did I miss who the headless people at the cabin were? Looked like Michonne's handy work.

When he was in the camper with the brother who was so scared he was going to kill him, I thought 'relax, he's not going to kill you...you like to kill and know how to drive a tank.' :lolol:

The Governor's back, and this time he has a tank!

Uhhhhh.. yeah. Even if that tank doesn't have shells, I think our group is going to have to vacate that prison post haste.

Hell of an episode. Not sure where they go from here. Where is the new safe haven? And, where's Carol? You know she's still around somewhere.

I'm betting that Carl is feeding the walkers and dissecting squirrels. It's just a matter of time before his transformation into mini-gov.

After some of the dialogue last night, I'm starting to wonder if one of the young girls didn't kill the 2 infected people and if Carol was covering for her. She kept telling them that they have to learn to protect themselves, and the one girl seems to really be aggressive with that idea. She was naming the zombies, so I thought she may have been the one feeding them, too.

Hmm, interesting idea. I guess it's possible. But, would she have the strength to drag the bodies?

If I remember correctly, didn't Tyrese and the two girls end up together at the end of that episode? I'd be willing to bet those three are by themselves for the immediate future, and they run into Carol. Remember, Rick never got a chance to tell Tyrese that Carol was the one that killed the others.
