In the offseason, the Steelers needed to be much younger, but Tomlin and Khan were foolish enough to make the team much older.

    You can't win like that.

He was like that with the Eagles, according to some Eagles fans.

It was the Steelers who were stupid to give that contract to a 34-year-old cornerback. Can't blame Slay for the money he receive from the steelers

I would take a 7th for Slay and pay the majority of his salary if I were the Steelers.

According to many people Slay played well last season but it was still a dumb signing for the Steelers, they should've learned their lesson from Patrick Peterson.

Then he needs to go. His contract ends after this year correct? Let’s hope they go out and get a DC rather than promoting from within

This has nothing to do with claims that Tomlin called the defense when Butler was here but it still the first time it’s been addressed directly by one of the coaches here.

I only claimed he called it when Butler was here :beee:

I was just busting your favorite members balls about Austin and his tiny index sized play calling card. I didnt know who was calling it now.

I saw Butler with a play sheet talking into his headset when he was here, for the millionth time Arthur Moats on his old show on SNR said that didn't happen with Butler. Some people just can't admit when they're wrong .

Considering that we'll probably be giving up 30+ the bulk of games here on out we might as well give Harmon, James Pierre, Beanie, Yahya, Holcomb/Wilson, and so on more reps. I'd feel more comfortable getting our arses kicked with players in the game that are showing effort compared to those just collecting a paycheck.

Ravens look good tonight. It’s going to be an ugly season if this D doesn’t straighten up

Aside from mass benchings of players that are making business decisions out there, I really doubt this is fixable. When the team leader says people are playing with no heart, this is over. If the guys been giving up 30+ and have been showing effort, I'd think they could turn it around/improve. There's everything from miscommunication, schematic flaws, not having enough players on the field for 2 pt conversions, lack of coaching adjustments/unwilling to adjust, players just being washed, poor tackling yada yada. This will be Tomlin's first losing season and they'll be lucky to win 8 games.

Tomlijn can'tr even motivate the team any more, the one thing he had on his resume, is now gone.

He's lost the team since Christmas Day. Guys been making business decisions since. If Sunday is a blowout loss, then I don't see any guaranteed wins left on the schedule.

It all comes back to being held accountable, no one is being held accountable.
