The tackles stats can be misleading sometimes!(Devin Bush had 17 tackles yesterday)

Because it was our game plan to run at him

He had 17 tackles for a gain of about 200 yards

Many many years ago the Steelers cut their leading tackler because all of his tackles were for a gain

I kept pointing him out yesterday and my wife wanted to know why I disliked him so bad

 

over half of his tackles on the year. almost as good as no losing seasons.

 

Sheesh jeh, that's torture for someone under the weather.

 

Of his 17 tackles, only 5 were solo..... only 1 was for a loss .... he had no passes defensed.... no sacks....... no pressures.....

Little was similar. Big rep, but got pushed around a bit at the end.

 

Same with T. Edmunds. People would bring up tackles. Problem was most of the tackles were after He missed the 1st time ,and other corralled them

 

Dang - if the league gurus see these stats they will also put him in the lead for DPOY over TJ like they do every other defensive player in the NFL.

 

Where is it showing him at 17 tackles? The box score on NFL.com shows him at 4 tackles, 12 assists, 1 TFL. Are we counting assists as tackles now too? How about a stat showing how many of those tackles were 4+ yards down field.

Going back to my Fantasy Football days, you always wanted the MLB from the worst team in the league as one of your defenders.

 

Yeah, how the tackle is made matters. Jumping in on an assisted tackle after a 15 yard run.... unimpressive. Stopping a runner for no gain, much more impressive. There is a reason we ran all over them and its because we ran at Bush and he sucks against the run. Our backs combined for 195 yards and 3TD's. Cant have a good game as a LBer when that is happening.
