    Welcome to thesteelersfans.com Steelers Predict the Score Game.


    Follow the rules below and make your prediction. I'll publish the results after the game in a post on this thread. There will be 2 ways to win (a weekly winner and a yearly winner).
    This weeks Game is:
    Pittsburgh vs Denver

    The rules are simple. Whoever predicts the correct winner with the score closest to the actual score wins. For example if the score is Pittsburgh 28 Cincinnati 21 The method of determining your score is to take the value of the difference of your guess of the Pittsburgh score and the value of the difference of your guess of the opponent score. You also must pick the correct winner to make your pick valid. In case of a tie, the tiebreaker is used.
    For example if TTFs prediction is 35-21 Steelers he would be 7 points from the actual score…..35-28=7 21-21=0 7+0=7.
    If Ray Ds prediction is 30-18 Steelers he would be 5 points from the score and he would beat TTF………30-28=2 21-18=3 2+3=5. If either had picked the Bengals they would have automatically lost due to the fact that they did not pick the correct winner.


    I will be awarding points for the first 10 places 10 points for 1st place 9 points for second place and so on.....and including a bonus of 3 additional points for making a perfect prediction. I will track cumulative point totals and the number of games you make the top 10. This contest will end at the end of the Steelers season.

    The deadline to make your picks is 1 minute before the scheduled start time.


    This week's tiebreaker is Denver Passing Yards.

    I'm always optimistic and basically never predict a loss, even when I think we'll probably lose. But sometimes I do it just because of a feeling I get. I can't tell if I feel like we're gonna lose, or if I feel like we're gonna win but only if I pick us to lose. It might be something to do with my descent into madness. Anyway, Denver passing yards: 306

    Quick question..
    Is the tie-breaker before or after sacks? Team passing yards are usually after sacks..
    If it's before sacks I'm going 269...

    lets do team passing yards (thats the way espn.com does it) I think this does include the sack yardS. Espn lists the qbs passing yards first and then below it the team passing yards and that is what we will use

    Harrison=2 sacks/Woodley=3 sacks/Ben=303 passing yards/Troy=1 interception/Clark=watching the game from home/Pouncey=5 pancakes (this is in case there is a tie with the tie breaker)
