1st comment was 'hes raw and has issues tackling'. No research so I will refrain from comment.

It's all moot since the Bengals screwed us!
Seriously, I don't follow college sports so, I don't know about either pick but, we needed DB help and the first two picks are DBs. Nice!

    Weaknesses
At times, was disastrous in man coverage. Dinged for 614 yards receiving against him. Slow, upright backpedal and clunky when turning to run. Seemed to be too big and lacking in foot quickness needed to play cornerback. Flagged for four pass interferences, a late hit and a personal foul this year. Charged with ten touchdowns allowed over last two seasons. Missed tackle numbers are troubling with 40 over last three years. Allows too much separation and can’t click and close on throws.

Look at his Safety stats btw and not his CB stats. Not using him at CB.

The last 2 years he played out of position at CB. He will be a S here.

I'll defer to Kevin Colbert.... I never heard his name talked about, but arm chair draft experts aren't the ones who are making the pick!

Apparently he is a tackling machine! Bring it!

I give up...the steelers are making it so much more harder then it have to be. These are not top rd picks and you are telling me that these are the BPA in your evaluation? Tomlin and Colbert should be a shame of themselves. All the interviews, all of the time, all of the money...wasted. How do you miss on one and two?! Coach lakes can't have a voice...in one article it said that coach Tomlin would make an impact on Burns

I`m just gonna hope this plays out well...

I`m noticing a recurring theme here, and I don`t wanna say too much about it,

But it sure seems the Rooneys are getting back to their roots, and drafting guys with "high character", over athletic talent...

I could make some snide remarks about "who cares what languages he can speak?",

or "Who cares about Burn`s family situation?"...

How does that help them/us, on the field???

I will just say, it seems like we are getting some talented young men, with what most of us consider pretty good moral character..

That should only help in the locker room, with "team chemistry"...

And have the coaches worry less, about what these players do, off the field, on their own time...

We`ve been burned enough with that stuff recently (Along with every other team in the league),

That, maybe we are focusing on kids who show a little more "class", and "character", than the ones who may have superior "measurables"...

(as long as they are still on a competitive level with the "blue-chippers"...)...

Again, I don`t wanna make a big deal about it,

But maybe they have learned from their mistakes...

(Cynical me)... or at least wanna re-hab their "image", after bringing in Vick???

    Hope Davis helps our secondary!

    We sure need it!

    GO STEELERS!!!:dfense:

If you search 'sean davis maryland 2014' in youtube there's the only game video I can find of him playing FS instead of CB. If you watch that video (Iowa+WV) I think you'll see the potential. He looks much more intriguing when playing safety.

He had 70+ solo tackles last year. Will be a safety, not a CB. Guy can hit.good size and speed. I'm cool with it.
