I hear ya. 20+ years ago... I could stay up for the entire night game, drink close to a 12 pack of beer in the process, eat enough pizza and hot wings to kill a goat.... and be fine the next day at work. Oh how times have changed.

Agree, but it’s more like 25 years ago for me. My buddies and I would go out for MNF almost every Monday night, and then be up at 6:30 with no ill effects. Now I drag ass all day after a Steelers night game, and never even watch other night games past halftime.

And don't forget, back in the day those MNF games started at 9 pm instead of 8:20.

I remember when I used to make fun of guys "remembering when." What has happened to my life? If we are remembering when, I remember when I was fun, cool, and had a way with the ladies. I didn't say had MY way with the ladies but a way none the less. I remember when I loved old cars and fast women. Now it is old women and fast cars (ok just old women). This was before a wife and kids who have killed my will to go on. TTF, thank you for giving me a sliver of a reason to go on through this board and a place to remember when...

I never understood how you guys in the eastern time zones could stay up for MNF. I had to do it in FL and would have to take a nap beforehand. Give me the 10 am, 1 pm and 6 pm games please!

They never win at Gillette. Always a first time. I want to see a competitive game. I want to see if this defense has improved. I want to see the offense keep Brady off the field. Even if they lose I want to see improvement and a close contest.

I remember how excited I was when MNF started. Used to watch it every week. Then along came TNF which I did like but now I only watch if it's the Steelers and I am not happy about it. Hell only 7 games this season are 1:00 which is what I now like. And they can shove that flex scheduling up their arse. I've seen it ruin friends whole vacation.

I remember as a kid I could do it, not now as a adult. I prefer the West Coast, the MNF games end about 9:00PM.

Wow, you had it easy!!!! Same thing, 25+ years ago my job started at 5am so Monday night football was a party then we hit an all night diner to "sober up" a bit. Go home, get a shower and then leave for work, there was no sleep, sleep was for pu$$ie$!!!!

As for late games, in my next life I'm living on the West Coast or better yet Hawaii. I was in Hawaii for the Steelers first SB. That was when the SB started around 2:00 EST. I was watching at 9 in the morning.

Why wait that long Steel? (Unless of course you're in a hurry). Drive on out in your recreational vehicle. Got plenty of room on the back 40 at the Phelan Groovy Ranch in the Pacific Time Zone and I'll hook you up with one of my DTV Genie boxes to catch the Steelers on Sunday Ticket. I've got 3 and only use one at a time. If you could also bring Mac Daddyo along so he could, you know, do the cooking, that would be great. :thumbs up:
