They hit a lot of curls and sideline outs.
Pat is just friggin awesome in the middle.

Kenny has to 'throw them open'
I agree, YAC is a stat that needs to get better.

Receivers were not getting much separation last season. Either the receivers can't get separation or its poor route design. DJ and Pickens are not slow so i'm thinking its more of the latter.

Same Coaches , and almost same players catching as the year before.....yet the YAC was lower. One real difference was the Qbs.

I agree but the play design needs to be better to set up the correct routes for this. I love the KP to GP back shoulder throw but I would like to see them expand on that route tree this year for GP to set up more YAC.Also need more concepts with DJ downfield on seam and go routes. It seams like all his routes last were comebacks, short slants and crossing patters or short outs.

by a yard? Although I can see old Ben being a little better than the combo of Trubisky and rookie KP

I'm hoping that Jet Sweep Canada has graduated to the NFL as a play caller. But i'm not that optimistic.

Hopefully Glenn Thomas takes some off of his plate and works mainly as a passing coordinator working on improving YAC.

They need to have a more balanced approach and give Pickett more freedom. We saw late in the season where he extended and made plays.

Hopefully Reverse Johnson is being coached out of the college twirl.

Pickens should have a monster season.

With the additions of Jones and Seumalo the left side of the line should be excellent. Herbig is a solid piece that is a starter but will add that back up role to step in and dominate.

I'm most excited about Darnell Washington who I feel will hopefully be more then just a blocker. A beast who can catch!

In a game of inches.....a yard is a lot as an average. Honestly Ben's gone, but could You imagine Him with Pickens....He would either have wore Pickens out, and got Him hurt, or scored lots of TDs.
