Unfortunately it's Fitz Toussaint  on a 1 year deal, per ESPN Jeremy Fowler .

Probably the biggest FA signing you'll hear about for a while. :lolol:

They needed someone to run the ball all through preseason and then get cut signed to practice squad, sit there until week 8 and then get put on the roster based on work done in one playoff game three years ago that the team lost. Fitz fit that criteria

He’s a known commodity and can return kicks.

    ...that’s all I got.

I wonder if it’s as simple as covering depth until camp throws up something better.

Whew.....thank the heavens for this. Now that we know we have him locked up we can start to fill in around him. Honestly though it's embarrassing that we can't do better than that at RB. I don't get the Tomlin love affair....

I’m well stocked. But on your suggestion, I’m going to crack one.

    I’m easily influenced. Thanks.

I always get so jealous of other teams this time of year.

    But somehow Steelers remain competitive.

I think he's a decent signing. I don't mind the kid at all. He can run, catch and pick up the blitz and return kicks. As a 3rd option he's fine. If Conner wasn't injured that would be a different story maybe but he knows the offense and can pickup what changes fichtner may add to the offense pretty quickly.

You almost Jedi mind tricked me....but then you had to say returns kicks.....now that's funny! I can stomach the signing because of our uncertainty at RB but if he is on the roster opening day. I will lose what little faith I have left in our coaches ability to judge and develop talent....

I don't know, but they don't really even give him or other RB's a chance.

I really liked what I saw out of Stevan Ridley in his short amount of time here. He has more wiggle, and possibly more speed than Connor. As of right now I would make him my #2 RB.

Actually, if you guys were objective this makes sense. Besides Bell, he's the only back they feel comfortable with blocking for Ben.

I'm betting he's the only one Ben feels comfortable with as well.

Wasn't trying to be funny, I hope like they don't... But I'm not too confident they won't! Pisses me off to think it but it's really within their line of thought and I can't figure that out!

This is usually the time of year I offer my services since I could always be had on the cheap (no need to thank me, just doing my part), however I accidentally looked in the mirror the other day after a shower and realized the door has closed. I mentioned this to my wife, and she said, "The door? I think the whole house imploded on you!" I got even when I told her my mistress still thinks I'm pretty hot. She just laughed...not sure how to take that?
