agreed. I am a Mason believer but im losing it each game. He has a couple of games to finally click for me but so far it looks like he is a landry jones type dud.

I really thought Mason was going to be the guy but I just don't know anymore. His footwork is awful. He looks like he's cemented to the ground at all times. He threw an interception right between the numbers of a linebacker. Threw another one behind an open receiver. I don't think there's much hope for him at this point but I'm willing to see what he has the rest of the year. I really hope Ben is able to come back next year. Without Randy F.

The entire offense played like a dumpster fire (river fire?) last night, Mason included. I think the entire offense deserves blame, not just Mason.

Of course you don't address ANY of the issues I mentioned... Just the one bad game & I'd say in the others he's preformed better than could be expected considering the situation he's been placed in... I get that you have unrealistic expectations for a young QB playing with no running game, no pass protection, & receivers who seem to drop more passes than they catch... I'm sure you'd be throwing for 300 a game considering those issues...

Mason was moving better before he got KO'd. I think he can improve leaps and bounds as he seems to have the smarts and work ethic but i don't believe Fackner is gonna get it out of him much less put him or the O in favorable situations. I too hope Ben can rebound from the injury but honestly don't know if he will come back at all if they dump his OC buddy... One of those problems that weren't addressed properly when it should have been by staying in house and making Ben happy. I didn't like the OC or game plan with Ben in the game... Just not smart football being played.

He hasnt performed well. He is a backup and hasn't shown anything to indicate that he will ever be anything more than that. It isn't just one bad game it's all bad games. I have yet to see a good game from him. And no, I dont expect 300 yes and 4 TDs every game. Some people seem a little too desperate to find something positive that they want to anoint Landry Jones Rudolph as the next franchise QB. It ain't happening.

And some people seem a little too desperate to find ONLY negative sh!t to say in regards to a young QB learning on the fly & dealing with all the aforementioned issues... Your expectations are unrealistic...

Ray Sherman needs fired immediately. This was a terrible hire when it happened.

Colbert needs to be on the phone with some agents like three weeks ago to find a get wr that is sitting at home. Maybe they can help our young wrs more than Sherman can coach them.

We need an offensive line shake up. These guys are playing bad and have been all year. Hawkins was playing his best ball this preseason when we let him go. Bad move then, worse move now. AV is not playing well. Fueled is not playing well. Foster is not playing well.

Mason is under siege at the snap, the receivers can't get open quickly. We needs some moves made quickly while we have a long week and a cinci game coming up.

I'm all for allowing a young player to go through growing pains. Lousy o-line and please comeback Munchak. Receivers when the ball does finally finds their hands, they 50/50 catch the ball. A special teams that adds no field position. No running game, qb running for his life and all the negatives that can be added plus, a suspect offensive cord. Having said all this, I still expect to see a glimmer of what, MR is good at or the one thing that allows me to feel, this kid is going to have it someday. I see no sparkle to he will be Bens replacement.
Mason Rudolph is Landry Jones II. Right now, I would take Landry Jones over Rudolph.

I am looking at the Bungle game as a "get right' game and I hope you will see a young qb getting right. I am sympathetic to MR because he is working with less that optimum support.

Sparkle? Maybe not. He is a feisty and tough SOB ,I like that. He is supposedly a student of the game and a perfectionist. I like those qualities as well. When you factor in all the other things you said above it sheds light on why he is struggling. He had a bad game against Cleveland but all his other numbers before suggest he was having what you can probably describe as what you’d expect from a QB who is just getting started in his NFL career.
Pressure busts pipes and he’s been under siege more often than not. Even Brady looks pedestrian under consistent pressure. I still think along with the injuries on O and the poor OL play his OC isn’t up to the task either. They don’t seem to be making life easier for a young QB. IMO Fichtner isn’t the guy I want leading this young offense.

Mason doesn't look better when he has time. I chalked this up as a bad game for him but C'MON man.

Oh, now I get it. I'm sorry for disrespecting your boy Mr. Rudolph. Maybe his other testicle will drop soon.

I am giving MR the benefit of the doubt that he has a banged up
and inexperienced set of skill players he is playing with. His Run game is nonexistent
Plus he is very young and inexperienced. He is going to have bad games,
but I hope throughout this experience he shows me some glances
of being a capable starter in this league going forward.

Perfect? No, but better at times. Also I see a kid trying to hard to aim a pass instead of dropping back and throwing it. I see him seeing ghosts as well as his receivers at times. Many passes should have been caught, but the eyes were looking for the big that really wasn't close yet. There is just not time and especially when you go on the road on a short week to change a young qbs mechanics.

This kid has had one year as a 3rd string qb. This year he was thrown into the fire. This is not the time to change OCs. It was time to bring in a qb coach that had more time in then the pupil. We have seen first hand what a difference a good veteran coach can make. We lost them all and these are the results.
