The Steelers are in first place

I live in Bungleland and told a co-worker today that the Steelers have less wins than the Bengals but we're in 1st place. He looked at me like I was stupid. Told him look it up.

 

I wonder if NFL tie-breaker rules address this and opine somewhere that more victories overrule actually % points of wins vs game played? NFL is the only major sport (including College football) where a tie is even possible because in MLB a called tie game is either continued another day or cancelled altogether depending on whether 5 innings have been completed when the game is called. Maybe NFL should use the NHL's point system - 2 for a win, 1 for OT if a loss or tie.

 

The Steelers are 4-2-1
Bengals 5-3
Ravens 4-4
Browns 2-5-1

Still in first place

 

Next week the Steelers will get a pissed off Ravens team, you know they will play better defense than they did against the Panthers.
