What does this mean in 2022?

For me it's about stability, and the reason why we've only had 3 head coaches in the last 50 years. It's the same reason Canada will not be fired mid-season.

What else defines the "Steeler way"?

Well yes, but what should it mean in 2022?

I think we all agree "3 yards and a cloud of dust" is outdated. Although these days, with our running back, I would happily take a 3 yard run on most downs.

I prefer the Cowherball(At lot of running play but when you pass you go deep!)that the terrible current offensive system when most of the time this is always a5 yards pass or underand when this is a 3rd down and 4,this is a 2 yards pass!

Why is it outdated if it works? Controls time of possession, keeps the Mahomes' of the NFL off the field. Gives your defense their rest. Seems to be working for Derrick Henry though, granted, he's gaining a lot more than 3 ypc.....

That's the key - it doesn't work for this team. I have no idea what the Steeler's way should be for 2022 and going forward - I just know what we are doing now isn't it.

We have our own version of Derrick Henry. He's named Najee Harris. Another big, bruising 1st round pick RB from Alabama.

    You can't be serious.

Najee goes down dancing before the first hit and at contact falls down. Derrick Henry runs over players and usually 3 or 4 of them at a time. Warren is closer to Derrick Henry than Najee (becoming a bust) Harris.

this is what happens when you legalize drugs. Najee is a bust, could not hold Henry's jock strap

Najee isn't anybody's version of Derrick Henry! If he emulates anyone, he's trying to be a LeVeon Bell and not doing well at that.

Agreed, it doesn't work for the current roster. Not much IS working. Maybe someday this line will learn how to block!

The steeler way is to sit on your hands and watch.

Almost like the john bogle way of investing.

Steelers Way used to mean something.

Now we are on our way to being a laughingstock in this league for many many years to come. Leadership is that bad.

Control time of possession is a bit of a problem at the moment.

While I understand why fans think that way I disagree with it to a degree. 2011-2021 Steelers had a 13-3 season, two 12-4 seasons, and 2 11-5 seasons. Made Playoffs 7 of 10 years.

What I'm saying is we were relevant during a lot of last 10 regular seasons. Sadly all that hope and promise of SB's not only got squashed but squashed hard as hell when the Playoffs came to town.

What bothers me the most is we had the better team on paper especially the 13-3 year and a few others. Lot of Pro Bowlers if I recall on that 13-3 team. I tend to blame Coaching for the terrible Playoff performances but I don't know what went wrong:(

Easy for me to know what went wrong. No Game Plans. Tomlin never attacked strengths and weaknesses of the other team. Just went in there with the mentality of we do what we do. Standard is the Standard. We don't live in our fears. Opposing teams were always better prepared.
