    Hey Thigpen82.

Yes, this troublesome about the "disappearance" of McDonald and Vannett for that matter too. Fitchner has to utilize these two way more. How about some 2-Sets? Let some slack off of Mason's leash for Pete's sake. The kid can ball. They saw it at Oklahoma. Now bring it here to the 'Burgh. I also do not want to keep hearing about that is college this is the pros (I get that part). However, they saw enough of his college film to know what he can do. They saw enough to draft him. Didn't the Steelers have a 1st Round Draft grade on this young man? I believe they did. Now, show some confidence in that evaluation. "STEELWINDS"

He is confusing this season. I like to think he knows something we don't know. He is becoming more positive while I'm becoming more negative.

Steelers are right where they would be if Roethlisberger wasn't injured.... 4-4 or worse. So... Reindeer and Duck have exceeded my expectations.

I'm usually gloom and doom but I think Rudolph is pretty good. I think his biggest issue is Fichtner, and that guy had Ben and AB covering for him. We all witnessed the ineptitude of the offense even with Ben behind center, receivers aren't getting opened as Fictner is just repeating the same stuff they did with AB. Remember, this happened with Haley and the Jags players said they knew the routes before the ball was snapped.

The same thing is happening only Fichtner is the OC. Now opposing teams are stacking the box and playing man coverage but look at the technique the opposing DBs are using. They aren't trailing, they are running the routes which is why they aren't biting on jukes or stutters, they know where the play is supposed to go. Even the run game, little use of setting up trap blocks or counters, instead just hand it off and run up the middle and hope a defender misses. A good OC would make Rudolph look a lot better but that is just my opinion.

I stopped watching when the guy called the INT to JuJu "a strike". Are you kidding me? It was ball 4 high and outside.

In what world is this a "good pass" or a "strike"?

MR fit the ball in a tight spot, yes, but that ball has to be low or at least on the numbers.Don't get me wrong, JuJu still should have caught it, but if MR continues to throw that kind of ball, high and outside to a receiver over the middle, the Steelers won't have any receivers by the end of the year. That ball is a going to get your receivers killed.

I think Sherman has a lot to do with it. I'll say it again, we lost a wr coach, a rb coach, an oline coach. I see our wrs jogging into their routes.

Too much is expected of MR too soon. This is a offense built around Ben for the last 10+ years. That can’t be a transition done overnight. The jury is out on Fichtner as to whether he can gameplan and is a effective play caller. By the end of the season we will have a better idea of what both are capable of. The O has to be slowly tailored to MRs strengths and weaknesses. OL,WRs,RBs and TEs are all going through a adjustment period. That’s gonna take some time.

That wasn't going to be overturned. Even if you think he wasn't short (I've seen stills that indicate he was short), you couldn't see whether the entire knee was on the defender or not. You also couldn't see the lower leg so there was no way to know whether the shin or some other part was down. So it was far from a slam dunk and I when I was watching it live I immediately thought it would not get overturned.

You ever heard of 3 yards and a cloud of dust?

Mason is 6 yards or an incomplete.

I agree and I think Fitch needs to figure out a few things. To start with the pressure up the middle, MR looks to be having trouble stepping into throws. Maybe roll him out a bit or even a bigger drop. Another thing which was mentioned here and I mentioned in another thread, the bubble screen. Man this is gone and I know we over used it in the past but man get the ball to the play makers. Also Vance we need to feed him a little, I hear a lot of people on tv talk about a young qb's best friend is the TE. I feel we are still a talented team so when we struggle it frustrates me feeling like we have play makers. MR is young and still learning that is the key here.

Sure, and I don't think it was worth finding out in order to at best avoid a 2nd and goal from the one foot line early in the game. Even if you disagree I am not alone on this (Stan Savran and Charlie Batch on Steelers Nation Radio agreed with not challenging it, as did Dave Bryan and Alex Kazora from Steelers Digest) so it is not challenging was not clearly a mistake as many people want to make it seem.

None of that matters, the replay system's 'consistency' over the years has proven it. It doesn't mean anyone was right or wrong to not challenge.

With the way the defense is making splash plays, we’d be 6-2 at worst with Roethlisberger. Easily.
