Historically that's true. However, the last two games ( including postseason), Brady has owned the Rats D.

Well, so.... if the Steelers beat good teams (except the Patriots) and neither the Bengals nor the Ravens fall into the 'crappy' category, then somehow doesn't 'logic' (whatever THAT is in this thread) dictate that.....the Steelers beat both the Bengals and the Ravens?????

That being said, the Bengals and Ravens are on mini streaks of their own right now and are in 'desperation' mode. Dangerous teams to play in the next couple of weeks, but I like our chances....

I may be a little late to this conversation, but I just don’t see how losing helps

Kind of how somebody else in the post explained it. If they win out and finally get over the hump of beating the Patriots, there will be nothing left for the playoffs.

    It doesn't.

It's called the gamblers fallacy where people think the next outcome will change the pattern or break a "streak"

If you flip a coin and it comes up heads 10 times in a row, it doesn't mean it's more likely to come up tails the next time. It's still 50/50. Same thing with winning or losing streaks

Nothing left? They have the Lombardi trophy to play for.

I agree - if they want to know what it's like to lose and get it out their system, just have them go back and watch tapes of the Jags and Bear games (or last years final playoff game). That should cure them. Next loss should be pre-season 2018! :steelflag::steelflag::steelflag:

If Tomlin is already looking ahead to the Patriots, I bet most of the players are too. This could be a disaster in the making. Roethlisberger, Heyward and Harrison are focused on the Bengals... but is the rest of the team?

Well if you think about winning out and then winning the playoff games and then the Super Bowl. Not impossible, but a very tall order.

I'd like to talk about beating the Bengals. Do we have any threads started where we talk about beating the Bengals? I can't stand them.
