Being that's what he had last year, and He's already doubled that , and still has 6 more games to go....all in all that's not a bad 2nd year.

no didnt forget about frazier. Hes been good except for this last game too where Garrett was stunting to the inside and blew past him for a sack at least once. I think Moore and Jones were the bigger problems Thursday night but all in all a bad performance at the line of scrimmage on both sides.

I’m in favor of cancelling TNF.

On our first drive we had the ball at the Browns 30 yard line and faced 3rd and long. I told my son-in-law that the one thing Wilson can't do here is take a sack. Well he held onto the ball too long and was sacked for a 10 yard loss and then Tomlin compounded the problem by sending Boswell out to attempt a 58 yard FG into the wind. What should have been at least a 3-0 lead ended up with the Browns getting the ball at midfield and it all started because Wilson didn't immediately throw the ball away on 3rd down when he first felt pressure from the rush.

It’s well known that the middle of the field is not a preference if Russ’s. Did you watch the Almighty All 22 film review this week? Dan Moore Jr. and Isaac Seaumalu had a terrible game. It really was what hurt us in the run game, passing game and short yardage.

Seaumalu in particular has struggled with the bull rush this year not just in this game.

Pat Meyer is a problem and should have hit the streets with Canada. That said, the C-RG-RT guys are 23-24-23 years old. It takes time. Here's hoping Troy is better than all of them.

Why did they give Muth $48M if they aren't going to use him?

correct - which is why when our #1 Troy F. went down, so did ALL of our OL prospects this season. The plan WAS to bounce Dan - he is avg at best - some improvement but BEATEN like a drum on Thurs night. Nice gameplanning too, BTW, by Tomlin and Smith, to HELP THE KID OUT!

Sorry for this - Tomlin and our GM's waited and FAILED in drafting for this OLINE. Colbert FAILED terribly as he exited. then the mishmash of coaching - and yes, that is on the FO including Tomlin.

it is why we meander and are happy with Mike Tomlin never having a losing season, but we remain not at the top. We sneak into the playoffs each season and get bounced out early.

    #Coahcing-AND-Leadership-MATTERS

we have not had a viable LT since A Villeanuevo.

It's not just Tomlin. Wilson doesn't like to attack the middle, either. That has been a limitation with him for years.

Yes Russell is known to not throw to the middle of the field, but If You look at the actual game charts.....He has thrown more to the middle of the field in 5 games than Fields did in 6......I'm not try to come at you my friend, but You can't say something off of what was.....I'm just going by this year.

Do you have those pass charts? I’ll be honest I looked at it after three or four games and on a per game basis it has Fields listed as using the middle of the field more. Perhaps it has since changed because Russ did indeed use the middle of the filed more the last two games than he has the first three. Regardless, I don’t think that loss was on Russ at all. Yes he should have thrown the ball away a couple of times especially on the third down where he took the sack which it made a 58 yard missed field goal. However, the play calling on some of the run plays was apparently redundant and we were telegraphing the play according to Kozora. In addition if you watch the Almighty 22 tape breakdown on youtube are blocking was pretty bad in particular Seamalu and Dan Moore Jr. On some of those third downs we were keeping people in to max protect against four rushers and the two receivers that went out were covered and Cleveland still put pressure on Russ with max protection. Some of the issues Kozora had was Smith had Skowrenek or whatever his name is and the third string TE as the only receivers going out for a pass on one third down. I get it he was trying to disguise it as a run play but I think he overtook it on that one.

I just wish we could get back to some power ball where the defense knows we are running it and they still can’t stop it. Thats the biggest difference between us an the elite teams right now at least in the AFC. KC and Buffalo can’t line up and convert on short yardage situations and sustain drives and we can’t. They have to figure out an alternative to Conner Heyward. He just is not a good fit at fullback. I would much rather have Warren in their as a sudo fullback at least he can pass protect.

Yes the line is having troubles, but it's what I expected.
Although I think people are getting too bent out of shape in this loss. Did I want to lose no, but it's an NFL game, a Division game, and I knew we weren't going 15-2. Won't any of the the teams in the AFCN go 15-2.
I expected 10- 7, and a playoff win, and anything less will piss me off, but anything more will be icing on the cake to me.

we shall see. they got blistered too vs. the Commandos - man handled, we barely escaped that game with a win. they are getting owned more times than not. the Giants game battered them hard too. thin on talent + young players + Jones struggles + tendencies in playcalling

    We will see.

Barely means nothing in Football. You know this. About 3/4 of the games every week are Barely losses, or Barely wins.

    correct.

none of it matters, NONE for me, till the playoffs. it is fun to watch us win, it beast LOSING!!

almost half the league makes the Tournament these days. Tomlin needs to start to distinguish himself there. he has not in many years.

Yeah run game let us down in the game, if they could have kept us on schedule, I think we win the game rather easily.

Well, they're starting two rookies and a second year player on the OL. You have to expect them to have struggles during the season.

I agree with the 10-7, but I'm not so sure about a playoff win. Hell, I'd be happy if it was a close game instead of the usual blowout.

That sounds about right. One thing you can. Isn’t in with Tomlin teams … they are usually nail biters. It sure would be nice to have some dominant wins.

What's crazy about this is these are NFL QB's and both dont prefer to throw into the middle. Jesus H mother of God, you have to be able to throw to all areas of the field to be a great QB in this league, especially now that it is a passing oriented league. Why have TE's if you are not going to use them in the middle of the field on seam routes, zone sit down routes and definitely box out plays in the end zone. We can't just live on jump balls down the sideline or back shoulder throws.

Jesus Christ! They won a fuc!in Super Bowl! brown lead the NFL in receiving yards. You’re stupid, they haven’t had a losing season in the NFL for 18 years! Talk to someone, learn how the game works.

Not complicated to me. A 35 year old 5-11 Qb who sometimes cant see the middle needs pass protection, ours is spotty at best. Thats the problem. If the young guys on the line can improve over this last stretch we’ll make a push in the playoffs.
