That's true, but I think they should use him even more.

Pat Meyer needs to go period, not the end be all of their problems, BUT giant step in the right direction

His OL s sucked in Carolina n he's not helping this OL grow n improve

But Tomlin likes ast coaches that are easy to control so....

Need fresh qualified eyes to ID the issues and CORRECT them

Yea but in the last three games Muth got 2 targets and then 2 targets and last game 4 targets, that is not enough and by the why he caught all his targets and has the best hands on the team. We are just not focusing on getting him the ball enough. He was also wide open on a play that he could of scored on and Wilson didn't see him because he was locked in on another receiver.

It's a shame he dosen't get more attention from the QB and play calls. All he does is almost always catches passes thrown to him. So throw more passes to him. THis is not rocket science.

I think part of the issue is Russ on these short yardage plays. I don’t think he can see very well due to his height on some of those plays. Those short yardage plays especially in the middle of the field are bang bang plays. Russ is holding onto the ball in those situations and honestly those sacks or turnovers on downs are on Russ not on the offensive line. Where we are really struggling is run blocking on the short yardage plays.

I'm still in the hope category that he isn't turning into a bust. A 1st round pick they traded up for. This would be a set back for sure.

He is still young and still learning. I can see him moving to the left side in 2025. They are not going to give up on him.

He is a UFA after the season. Some team will overpay.

Really? I disagree. No one is open. He is looking for separation and not to throw the pick. Because we all know that Tomlin likes to play close to the vest.

Smith needs to implement a short middle of the field passing attack. Quick hitters, Muth, Warren, Austin III, Williams ect, Back the safeties off.

Why is Tomlin allergic to the middle of the field? It has followed offensive coordinator after offensive coordinator. Why?

This guy disputes everything that your saying:

Not to mention we threw over the middle of the field alot more when Fields was in. It is well know that throwing of the middle of the field is not Russ’s strong suite. He isn’t really a rhythm passer that is why he struggled under Payton in Denver, he was not a fit there for that offense. Russ is a gunslinger and excellent with the deep ball on the perimeter. Thats great but if you don’t connect on those or get the PI then you can find yourself behind the sticks. Alot of those plays are meant to be quick hitters where he is holding on to the ball. To me what’s more alarming is our inability to get an effective run game going especially in short yardage.

The Oline is in need of help and so is this whole. They can’t even decide who is going to be the QB next week. Playoffs is a joke.

This is true,,but then someone else will complain that Pickens is not getting enough targets, and then someone else will say why isn't Washington getting enough targets, why isn't Warren getting more carries, and so on. There is only one ball.

Dude why do You keep saying that we threw more over the middle of the field when Fields was in there.....that is totally not true. We have thrown the ball in the middle of the field more , in less games than we have when he was the starter. There are graphs that show this.
