Davis, yes. Burns wasn't forced out of anything. He couldn't play his position.

You are probably right but I have a sneaky suspicion that if they hadn't signed Nelson that Tomlin would have leaned towards resigning Artie Burns.

I think Tomlin loved Artie's story at draft time. And we needed a db at that time.

Price himself out of Pittsburgh? Injured? Artie Burns 2.0? You just want him going to the Ravens? Why is he not coming back?

I dont see that happening with him being the focal point and the one number 1 corners cover week in and weke out. Hes not that guy.

Neither was AB after 2 seasons.
    Or Micheal Irvin
    Or Chris Carter
    Many others
Maybe your jumping the gun, maybe your right.

Juju will beat most corners in man coverage. If he is double teamed then it’ll create opportunities for Dionte, JW, Ebron and Vance, maybe Claypool as well if he is on the field.

I won’t judge Juju on 2019 where just about everything went wrong. How many times was he open and Mason / Duck either didn’t see him or missed him. He also looked like he was carrying an injury.

I don’t think Juju is a true number one receiver, he is more an inside / outside hybrid, and a very good one. Several recent Super Bowl winners didn’t have a true number one receiver. I’m not sure you absolutely need one to succeed. You do need several capable receivers which I think Pittsburgh might have. God willing they all stay healthy

The playmaker suffered injuries his first few years he never started more than 10 games. FIRST year he was healthy he made the pro bowl. Cris carter had drug problems early on. Ab wasn't a starter his first 2 years he was a kick returner. We saw what he did when he became the numebr 1 wr though. And again no of those guys you mentioned played across from the best int he game, had a great season, and then gets pushed into the role of being the focal point and comepletely folds.

I mean if we look at the last 10 most of them did except NE who had gronk who is just as impactful as a number 1.

    2010 packers- Jennings
    2011 giants- Cruz
    2012 ravens- anquan
2013 seahawks- baldwin( wasnt 1 then but became 1)
    2014 pats- Gronk
    2015 broncos- Demariyus
2016 pats- gronk injured so no #1
    2017 eagles- Alshon
    2018- pats- gronk
    2019 cheifs- tyreek hill

And juju cannot beat any of the top corners 1 on 1. Ramsey, gilmore, white, etc.. he won't eat up any of them. You're correct on his style of play hes a inside guy not really a guy who just 1 on 1 beats people on the outside like julio, ab, hopkins, mike Thomas, tyreek etc.. i can name several guys id take over juju like I said hes a number 2 not a number 1.

Not sure what you are correcting me on. I said Juju will beat ‘most’ corners, nowhere did I say he would eat up every corner in the league. Nobody does that to Ramsay, Gilmore etc.

I also said several SB winners didn’t have a No. 1, not that none of them did and your list would seem to back up what I am saying. Stretching it a bit there with Alshon Jeffery, Baldwin, Cruz (Juju is as good as any of these) and 2018 Gronk was a shadow of his former self although he did make a big play in the game.

I also stated I don’t regard Juju as a true no. 1. I don’t think he is a top 10 receiver, probably not top 20 either but they may not need him to be. If he can be a reliable possession receiver and get 7-8 TD’s that’s fine with me.

You have basically quoted me and repeated what I said unless I’m missing something?

Cruz had 2 all pro seasons until he got hurt and he was done. He also was the number 1 option and had no ab across from him. Baldwin I said at that time wasnt a number 1 option but became 1. 2018 gronk showed up in the playoffs. He made big plays vs kc too.

And if hes not a number 1 wr and not even top 20 which i agree with i can probably name 20 better than him my point intially was hes not worth the money he may try to command. And I dotn believe Ben is capable of winning a sb without having 1. He had stacked teams everytime he won or got close to winning. Not the case no.

And ab killed ramsey. Ramsey himself even said juju aint no where near like covering ab.

Again I think we are largely in agreement. I didn’t mention money, that will be determined by the season he has in 2020. I think his range is somewhere between $12m - $15m, I can see him getting that elsewhere if Pittsburgh don’t pay him.

I don’t think this is a championship roster either, too many question marks at the moment, particularly on offence.

I predict he puts up numbers similar to two seasons ago. I think he is very underrated around here and too much of his accomplishments are dismissed because he had AB across from him. Show me the player across from any of the other great WR’s in the league that ever put up numbers like JuJu did his first 2 years.

We are in agree with that. I just don't think with what he will get on the open market he will be 1 worth it nor will the stelers be willing to match. Amari got 100 million hes better than juju but no way he deserved that but the market dictates sometimes what guys get. And yeah possibly a playoff team especially with the extra team being added in but sb out of the question. Cant beat the chiefs or ravens sadly.

Probably not unless they are missing key guys with injury.

They are probably the two best rosters in the NFL. That said, the Chiefs are in the process of paying Mahomes and that is going to force them in to some difficult roster decisions, first up Chris Jones. Lamar will be looking for money next off season. NFL stands for ‘Not For Long’ as we all know.

Ravens better make the most of LJ while he is cheap and healthy
