The Ravens whining makes this W that much better.

I've always thought if I wasn't a Steelers fan, I'd probably be a Ravens fan, because we have such similar styles. I've always had a lot of respect for Lewis and Reed, etc. but the team's nonstop whining and bashing after the game makes this win so much more enjoyable for me.

    Ed Reed...
Bull-[expletive],” Reed said, while trying to mask it with a cough.
“He can make throws, but I look at like we let some things get away,” Pollard continued.
When asked later if he was surprised by Batch’s game, Reed said: “It is not surprising at all, . . . well, maybe a little bit.”

    Anquan Boldin...
“They were making bad calls all night, “Boldin said about the referees. “I know they don’t want me to say it, but this is what it was: You can’t allow a guy to hold and when a receiver breaks free, call a pass interference. You can’t have it both ways.”

The whining does make the win all the more sweeter. But let's face it, around here after a loss there is a lot worse that that going on. Though there is a difference between fans doing it and players doing it.

Do Steeler's players do it less than Ravens? I know that on board folks have been annoyed when people like Tomlin haven't called out the BS calls.

Whatever, I hope we get these guys again in the Playoffs, and kick the crap out of them. Because we can.

There is a BIG difference between us *****ing on this board and their players doing it. I cant even imagine our players acting like that. Take responsibility for the LOSS and deal with it. They dont think we got hosed on some calls too?? Boldin was pushing off the whole game and Harrison was getting freaking mugged as usual. One call for PI doesnt make or break the game.

This is what makes it all the more sweeter! You're right, though, that there is a difference between us doing it and the actual players doing it - just wanted to check I wasn't wearing my black and gold tinted glasses when claiming that our guys don't do it.

    You nailed it! :applaud:

I have to admit, I lost all hope after Sanders fumbled and then the rats went up 20-13. I just figured we were snake bit and it wasn't going to happen. We've been seeing some really flukey stuff these last few games. So glad they pulled it out, that's a huge win :herewego:

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Yeah, fans get upset... My post is about the Ravens whining about the refs, and Ed Reed totally disrespecting Charlie. I heard that Flacco basically gave the lame old "we let them win" line.

You ask about our players... I'm trying to remember any Steeler in recent memory saying anything like that. I'll give you two great recent examples. Two weeks ago we lost to the Ravens and Ryan Clark went to the Baltimore locker room following the game to congratulate his friend Ed Reed. One of the Rooney's (not sure if it was Dan or Art) went to the Ravens locker room after that game as well to congratulate Harbaugh.

The Steelers handle their wins and losses with class. We don't do stuff like a gatorade bath following a reg season win... Or like Ray Rice wearing a terrible towel and singing Renegade walking off the field.

I'm pretty sure the ravens know we let them off the hook. the game was closer than it shouldn've been. batch missed a totally wide open wallace in the end zone. if sanders doesn't fumble, than he probably goes in untouched. i'm pretty sure they know what will happen if we meet in the playoffs and ben is under center...................they are what we thought they were, and they won't do diddly poo if they see us again.

I saw the quote by Flacco last night saying they could have put up 30-40 on us. Really Joe? Turn off the Madden and study some game film. The Steelers should have put up 30 or 40 - 2 interceptions in Ratbird territory, one in the end zone and a fumble in which Sanders is going to score a TD. If we settle for only FG's that gets us to 32. I did not see anything other than a missed FG that would have gotten you to 23.

Whine all the more about it. You are the little brother, always have been always will be!

Yeah, bad phrasing on my part. I was saying that (as you also say) it seems the Steelers do it less - to the extent that I remember people getting annoyed that they weren't doing it after games where the refereeing was abysmal.

Yeah... I'm not one of those people. Blaming the refs in the media gets you nowhere, and just makes you look pretty stupid IMO.

After the Giants game, i wouldn't have minded if Tomlin had privately said something about the refs to the league office... but don't do it in the media.

What makes it worse for the Ravens is that this is a game they really, really should have won, given how we performed last week. Coming out and blaming the refs reeks of shame, really.

I just went to the ravens page to read and hear some whining and saw a good long locker room interview with Reed and he was nothing but complimentary to the Steelers players coaches and scheme every time we play them. He didn't seem to be surprised they lost.

They play physical and with an edge... I like that.

I've always loved Reed, but I thought it was out of character for him. Bernard Pollard was saying something about Charlie making good throws and Reed boughed "bull****" under his breath. He outplayed your QB Reed, give him some credit.
