seems like every media outlet is on their knees for the raiders and are all taking the Raiders to beat us Sunday. Hope we can put them in their place Sunday. East coast team,1pm game. We can't afford to lose this if we want to stay in the race.
It's as much of a must win as there is

If the crowd decides to show up and make it loud that would help. Im hoping for an output much like the niners game

They have 3 great young players in Carr, Mack and Cooper.

Will be another hard fought game for sure.

I believe the Steeler mini streak starts Sunday against Oakland. I believe it enough I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I usually bet $500 on the team to win the game and $500 on the over/under depending on what the numbers is. The number is 49 this week and I just don't feel good going either way with that number so I bet the whole thing on the Steelers to win and I'm giving the Raiders 4.5 points. I expect to win. The Steelers need to quit screwing around and play to their potential. This will be their first win in their mini streak.

All season we have talked about how the defense needs to stop powerful offenses. They've done that.

Now the offense needs to step up and score more then 30 points!

I can't help but blame coaching. They get a 4 point lead and are comfortable with it. Why come out aggressive on the first drive and then sit on your hands until the last one?

    BE AGGRESSIVE ON OFFENSE.....

Actually I would say that you pick against the Steelers much more than the media does. I find this thread to be quite ironic.

Even when the Raiders were good, the media here are not allowed to make them darlings. It's an unwritten rule in San Diego. If we don't have any more players get broken, we win handily.

One thing is a constant, Jack Delrio has played us tough every time he has coached against us, when he was the jags coach we had tough games every time we played them, and he beat us more times than we beat him, he knows us well, and he is the biggest threat in this game IMO...

So far most of the games I though we would win we did. The games I thought we would lose we did. I would love for us to beat the Raiders but they have been Big Ben's kryptonite as of late

Only in Steeler Nation does the coaching staff get blamed for a loss when the qb throws 3 interceptions.

At some point you have to blame the Coaches.

I've lost count of how many times they tried being smart instead of using logic over the years.

I trust Big Ben to throw more then the coaches to make a good decision.

P.S. Why is Will Johnson even on the team? Everything that I can remember from him is being involved in bad plays. Any other person would have ran forward to the ball... Hell even if it got to him... I bet he drops it.

The Raiders are no joke we don't match up with them as good as it seems..The Jets put their lock down CB on Cooper and he still had 5 catches for 46 yards . The Jets put their 2nd. best CB on Crabtree and he had 7 for 102 yards.Murray also ran for 113 yards .

Who are the Steelers going to put on Cooper ? Who is going to help with Crabtree ? I think the Bengals were very rusty and left a lot of plays on the field, the Raiders are playing brash and testing DB'S early and often .I just can't see us shutting down their Offense...

    Nobody.

We have to pray that we can get to Carr or he will have a hey day just like the Chiefs.

We got to Dalton and he made
mistakes. Which the steelers decided to give right back. They can not do that!

That's a hard sell around here, when will this org. pull the trigger on a cleansing if we go under 500 after finishing 11-5 last year.

the raiders should be good. drafting as high as they do every year it's bound to workout at some point. we have talent too and it's past time to put it all together. win the turnover battle and we should win the game.

Vick sucks. Oh, sorry, reflex :lollmao:

You're 100% correct, pressure Carr. A rattled QB makes any secondary look good.

So does Big Ben now LOL.

We have 3 bad QBs yay.

Na, if anything I like when the steelers are underdogs. Seems like they do better.

P.S. I picked up the Steelers defense in my fantasy :)

I think as a franchise on the whole we have a losing record to the raiders if my memory serves me right. Seems like I heard that once.

I wish we had made a move for Charles Woodson. Even at his age he is still getting it done brilliantly. He is one of my all time favorite football players. I hate that he plays for them again. He has made some showstopping picks this year.

30 points would be nice, I really thought we would be averaging 30 points a game this year... once again the defense is carrying this team.

Yeah but losing Ben for 4 games blew up those expectations, otherwise I think theyd be averaging that or be pretty close at least.

The loss last week seemingly made people forget that Ben was even out.

If the Steelers finish 8-8, something needs to be done by the front office about the coaching staff. Bell is good but Williams is the best back up we could of dreamed of.

    Butler for president.
