With all key components back in the line up next week and us winning out does an 11-5 team make it in the fax playoff picture.

The colts and now bengals are close. I think it's official we are playing for a 5th or 6th seed.
Does 11-5 make it into the playoffs??

Actually, I'm asking if my wife would be willing to have some fun with one of those Steeler's chicks.

That and what three words that best describe both the Steelers and the Grinch?

It should(11-5), but right now I would be surprised if we hit that mark. I still think we'll end up around 8-8 or 9-7.

    Ravens
    Chargers
    Bengals
    Cowboys
    Browns

It all depends on their health. If they can get people healthy, the right people healthy, and in a hurry 11-5 is still do-able.

Yes, but who's to say we make it to 11 wins?

That's a big if, especially considering we added Woodley, Adams, and Colon to that list.

11-5 would get us in... but we won't be 11-5.

there were several threads in the last two weeks that assumed 9-7 would be good enough.

Bottom line is we control our own destiny, we don't have to worry about other teams having to lose. We start winning and we're in. Only thing that concerns me is the injury list. It seems everytime someone returns, 2 more go down. This is not the 1st time we have seen all these injuries ether, it happened last year too. We need to be physical ! Other teams are laying a beating on our team. I believe we lost our physicality when Cowher left.

Hey which Tdot is that? TX or TN? In TN we call our state workers Tdot. That's why I was wondering.

The new CBA has ruined the game, players are only
allowed to hit once per week, I bet the injuries do go way
up when you can not toughen up your body for the real games.
The Steelers have really been decimated by injuries this year and last year
It is possible that after the Ravens II game that we could
have a majority of our players back. Can we run the table the last 4 games?

    pft resume for AFC

    1. Texans (10-1): The road to the Super Bowl in the AFC goes through Houston.
    2. Ravens (9-2): Baltimore’s overtime win in San Diego keeps the Ravens in prime position to earn a first-round playoff bye.
    3. Patriots (8-3): New England owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over Denver.
    4. Broncos (8-3): Denver clinches the AFC West with either a win or a Chargers loss next week.
    5. Indianapolis (7-4): With the Colts in the wild card lead, a showdown between Peyton Manning and his former team looks likely in the first round of the playoffs.
    6. Pittsburgh (6-5): The Steelers currently own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bengals for the final wild-card spot.
In the mix: The 6-5 Bengals control their playoff destiny, as they still have a Week 16 rematch with the Steelers. The rest of the AFC — including the 5-6 Dolphins, 4-7 Chargers, 4-7 Titans, 4-7 Bills and 4-7 Jets — will all need something approaching a miracle to reach the playoffs

it's us vs cincy for the 6th

Oh well you've got plenty of fellow Canadians on here. Busman, Shaner82, Jim92, and maybe some more are our neighbors to the north. That's funny though that they say that in Canada.

I dont think anyone should be talking about playoffs for this team, I see this team losing 4 of their next 5 games ending their record at 7-9, and thats considering they get lucky enough to get 1 win: For sure they will end up 6-6 next sunday: if you think Bens going to be back anytime soon you cant count on it, the cards Kevin Kolb has been out a month with a displaced rib and they think it will be another 2-3 weeks before he will be ready to play. After that 8 turn over debacle at cleveland yesterday it appears this team has convinced themselves that without Ben it's a lost cause, so who will be the quarterback going forward, grandpa Batch or the new kid, Hoyer???? Either way we can forget about playoffs.....

im not being Mr Negative, but there is no way in hell we win out. We cant even win, take care of the ball, convert on 3rd against the Stains. Batch should not even be a 3rd stringer and i think Lefty might be a 3rd stringer. This is the time of the season where we start rising and start playing good football and i dont see that happening.
