It might not happen this season, but you want to see them make the playoffs this year and get a win, I think in 2024 is when they should be real contenders. This team doesn't have many holes, then in 2024 you add to this current team with free agency and another draft class look out.

    :herewego!:

We look like we have good positive momentum in our rebuild era. Probably faster than many teams would after losing a franchise QB. Trust the process.

Id be happy if they can run an above average offence that can actually sustain drives in 2023. That would be huge progress.

They have lots of cap flexibility over the next couple of years and can really go ‘all-in’ after this year if they think Kenny is the man.

Khan and Weidl appear to know what they are doing in terms of building the roster.

If Pickett turns out to be a top tier QB we be looking good but as excited as a lot of us are it's still way to early to say Kenny is our next Terry or Ben.

The key will be Pickett....If he becomes very good or great, everything will be possible for the steelers

Kenny Picketts Year Two Development will determine whether or not the Steelers will be contenders in the future. So far so good though even with the limited sample size. Let us see if this continues into the Regular Season.

Should the Offense make major strides in the Red Zone and generate more exposive plays?! With this Defense?! Hell, even this season, outside of Kansas City, I seriously doubt any AFC Team wants to play the Steelers come should this team make it to the playoffs.

Again though... should Kenny make the massive leap I believe he can.

The Steelers are somewhat in the same situation that the Eagles before their 2022 season.Lots of talent in their roster but a lot depended on their QB taking a huge step forward and we saw what happened to them...If Pickett improves big time it's gonna be huge for the steelers

    True.

However, as you said, somewhat. The AFC is a literal gauntlet compared to the NFC. However, should Pickett take the next step, that will make Pittsburghs Playoff Run all the more a certainty.

Yeah, the AFC is loaded this year

There will surely be some disappointments team in the AFC, but the 7th seed could be very good this year, compared to other years...The Steelers would almost be a playoff lock right now if they were in the NFC this year!

Playoff Lock indeed if the Steelers were in the NFC.

As far as the AFC goes though for Pittsburgh, winning the Division would be the best possible outcome. If not, it will have to be the 7th seed. That said, the race for that spot will be loaded as all hell.

I think I have seen enough to be very optimistic about this season.

I also think it`s worth placing a small bet on our winning a Super Bowl. The odds still have to be steep, but they probably just changed after that performance against the Bills starters.

So many Steeler-haters so badly want Pickett to fail as they thought they were going to bask in years of Steeler-suckage. Cheering hard for Kenny!

Going into the season we should have a top 7 (playoff) team in the conference. Since we have so many new guys on defense and the O Line it'll take several games to really gel, but by the bye we should have a top 3 team.

I can see us having a Super Bowl team this year if we can go into the playoffs healthy while KC and Cincinnati are banged up. Our playoff success will depend on health, but with luck we are a SB team THIS year.

I agree but even Eagle fans (and I know many) admit they had an easy run at the SB and that NFCCG was a joke. Steelers have too many great QB's to get by. Barring injuries Burrow, Lawrence or Mahomes are in the AFCCG. Kenny will just have kick one of their asses:)

I don't said that the steelers will be in the super bowl, but if Kenny has a big leap(a bit like Jalen Hurts last year),they could be a SB contender this year

It seems to me that some so-called Steeler fans also want him to fail for some unknown reason. We even see it on this board from time to time. I’m not sure where that’s coming from. It’s one thing to have a healthy skepticism but still be rooting for his success, but there are those who just seem to want to be right about their opinion that Kenny was a bad draft pick. I still think he has everything to prove at this point, but I also believe he’s well on his way.

Yep, I think they will be changing. I got to get up to the Casino to place my bet. Damn Pirates seem like they will win more then 68 games so I'm about to lose that bet I placed in March.

We all want Kenny to be what Ben and Terry were. I look at the Green Bay Packers and they had what is called a franchise QB for basically 31 straight years. Favre and Rodgers. Correct me if wrong but I think that 31 years produced a grand total of 2 Superbowls???????? I so want the Jets to implode or make the Playoffs and face us first just to kick double click boys ass.

You gotta admit it's impressive having back to back franchise QBs. The 69ers did that with Montana-Young. Then the fudge packers with Favre-Rodgers. Now we're doing it with Ben-Kenny. Really, has any other team managed to have back to back HOF QBs?

Yeah, I know calling Kenny a HOFer at this point is optimistic, but I'm willing to bet my life saving that he'll be a first ballot HOFer. Of course, by the time I won or lost

Of course by the time I won or lost this bet I'll be dead so I'm comfortable making the bet.

Mark Madden would possibly host a party if that were to happen!!!

... Well... Mark and the doubters are gonna be waiting a long ass time should Kenny continue to ascend like so many of us believe he can.
