The parity in the AFC - at least by record - is astounding.

The Patriots are the only team that is truly out of it. (Let's just pause there a second)The Patriots are the only team that is truly out of it. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

Ok...The Titans are 3 out of the division lead. Everyone else is 2.5 or less. There are a bunch of 5-5, 4-5 teams. Only the Chiefs remain with just 2 losses.

This seems to be a banner year for what the NFL has been perceived to desire: Parity. How do you all feel about it? Do you like/hate parity? Do you prefer a few dominate teams/dynasty? Is this good or bad for the sport?

It's what they wanted. I'm actually not sure how I feel about it. Really as long as the Steelers are still in it....I'm happy, and I'm sure that's just how the NFL wants it for others.

Depends on how you achieve parity. When you have to rely on the refs to make a few "calls", to reach the desired outcome........

It is catching my eye also. Parity has seem to taken over the NFL. IMO there are 2 teams in NFC that have a shot but Eagles gonna have home field so the question is which AFC team will play them???? The talking heads are all about another repeat of last year. I'm not so sure about that. Where I live they are hoping Mahomes gets sidelined for season and they are sure that is their guaranteed SB.

IMO, barring major injuries I have the AFC rep being one of the following: Chiefs, Jaguars, Ravens, Dolphins. I'm hoping the Steelers can get to 11 wins. Maybe a home game although we have seen how that doesn't matter in the past. I'd actually enjoy taking revenge on the Jaguars if it worked out that way.

Actually the AFC is kind of fun to follow. I'm an AFCN guy and I'm pulling for the Ravens to be the AFC rep in SB.

I understand. Ben's early days against the Ravens were some of my all time favorites. I want to stomp them every year but if not us I do go for them in Playoffs. I'm an AFC guy and always pulled for them in most SB's until Brady came along.

I hear ya but i'd be hard for me to root for the Rats against anyone else in the SB, except for the Cowgirls or the Gold Rushers.

To your point, the team that may be the #1 seed by the end of the night is struggling mightily to beat the Burrow-less Bengals

(and as soon as I finish typing this Lawrence goes down..uh oh)

AFCN has 3 starting QB's out and the one left standing is usually injured by now.

Just to F the NFL I hope the SB has two back-ups playing.

Yep, and these are so-called non running QBs.

Nobody says You can't get hurt playing in the pocket, but History shows You play longer. KFP....hurt....running. Lamar Jackson hurt two years in a row running, ....if a physical specimen like Cam Newton learned to stay in the pocket....He would still be playing. The difference people never think about is....if a Qb that must run to have game is injured, and can't do that anymore....they are done. If a Qb that doesn't rely on his legs for His game is injured....they can still comeback, and play. One Qb You only have to worry about the top half getting a serious injury for his career. The other.... You must worry about both halfs....top , or bottom. I'll take my chances on only having to worry about one half of a guy that will take most of my cap.

Speaking of Cam Newton, if I was his HC I would have put a stop to jumping into the fans. Imagine if that cause a season ending injury especially their SB year.

Cam once something I always liked. It was after their 15-1 , 14-2 ?? season. Something to the effect, fans expect the same thing if you pretty much have the same personal but it doesn't work that way in todays NFL. The Steelers and Niners pretty much did it but that was in the 70's and 80's.

Of the 7 teams currently in the AFC playoffs only 3 has their starting QB playing next week. The Ravens, Chiefs and Dolphins.

Not all the time, but most of the times....the two teams in the SB are the least injured teams at that time.

I definitely feel that there is more parity, which the NFL has wanted. But the problem is that with this parity, there are a lot of bad teams playing bad football, creating parity. For good parity, you want a lot of good teams playing good football.

True, there are only a handful of elite teams and even they can be beaten on any given day.

Parity does make watching the standings a lot more fun. Take away the injuries and I don't think there would be as much parity as there is right now. I understand you can't get rid of injuries but one frigging play (even in pre-season) can ruin a career, can ruin a season for your team and can ruin a SB contender. How many times did we think season's over when it looked like Ben was down for the count? These guys are to damn fast and big for their own good. Team that wins the SB is the team that has their key guys intact and get's the less terrible calls by the Refs. Let that team be our Steelers;)

Then I'm pretty sure you don't want to hear who I hope is the NFC Rep., Go Cowboys:)

I know from years on this Board there is very little love for Ravens or Cowboys. Cowboys is an easy one for me. I hate the Eagles which makes me a Cowboy, Giant and Wash. fan. I only care about NFC the 4 times (or 5) we have to play them each season. I'm no fan of the Ravens but I have respect for them due to some of the amazing games we played against them in Ben's heyday .

Ravens/Cowboys SB. Note, this can change from week to week;)
