The Onside kick

    Tomlin makes decisions I don't agree with and some he kinda botches, like the onside kick vs Jax. I talked to 3 former NFL head coaches this week and they all agreed that was ABSOLUTELY the wrong decision, his worst of the game. The percentage of recovering an onside kick over the past three seasons is 15 percent. In today world of analytics, especially, those are odds you just don't play. The Jaguars had 10 possessions in the game, not counting kneel downs at the end of the half and the game. The Steelers forced four punts. That's 20 percent of the time they stopped Jax. Those are better odds than an onside kick. -Gerry Dulac
