Another possible positive with Britney Brown is that we might be unloading him just before his impending implosion.

If AB is traded, I'm hoping he's traded ...I'll be rooting for him to fail

Don’t hold your breath. My friend that plays for the Steelers says Harrison acted like a jackass. All the sleeping through meetings, skipping meetings, and generally acting the fool are true.

Jimmy Johnson once said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "different players have different rules". He said that if a marginal player fell asleep during meetings or showed up late for them, he'd cut him. If Troy Aikman did that, which he said he wouldn't, but if Troy had, he'd discipline him, but he sure as hell wouldn't cut him.

Sparky Anderson was once asked about rules for Morgan, Bench, and Rose. He laughed and said they make their own rules.

The problem here is that a player has abused that preferential treatment afforded him due to his level of production.

Some people try to use players coach as a negative thing. Personally, I prefer being treated like a man and hold myself responsible for my own actions. Of course there are some that aren’t capable of long term success in an environment like that.

Could be worse. In 2008, Patriots went 11-5 and still missed the playoffs.

Sometimes having an easier path to the playoffs can help.
Number of playoff teams faced after week 8 in the regular season: Steelers 4, Patriots 0

The only potential silver lining is that there are lessons learned from all this. The HC ,the QB should both take something valuable from this. There is clearly room for improvement in how interactions between coach and player and player to player should go. I hold out slim hope that this can be a turning point for the entire franchise. Now whether we have the right staff in place to make the necessary strides between the lines. I'm not quite as positive about..l
