We are witnessing the end of an era. Smith and Farrior are already gone. Harrison, Polamalu, Hampton and others aren't far behind. The zone blitz scheme is easily handled by most teams. It's been good while it lasted.

Wasn't the plan to have a more "balanced" offense and avoid depending so much in Ben and keep putting him in harm's way?

 

Are we talking about his play in general or the penalty in particular?

Remember when we used to Blitz and then tackle the QB........that was nice

 

this is why games last 5 hours now..ive seen about 7 minutes of football and 35 minutes of commericals...Im going to break something...aaarrrrgh

 

I do partially agree, but at the same time, every team has to deal with injuries to key players. There's no way we should absolutely fall apart because 2 players are missing. Which leads me to think that we just aren't very good anymore, with or without them.
