    Has it been confirmed we was trying to trade back with our first pic in the 4th round, or is just speculation at this point ?

    I never did see anything talking about that but it is rare we take that long to make a pick. Seemed fishy at the time.

    I was reading something Tim Benz wrote about needs the Steelers failed to address and it reminded me that the Vannett trade cost them a shot at Jake Fromm in the fifth round. The Steelers would have had the 17th pick in the round. Fromm went to the Bills five spots later.

    I don't think Fromm is going to be a star. He doesn't have a great arm, but he showed he could play at a high level against the top programs in the country. His upside is probably something similar to Andy Dalton, but he would have been an upgrade over Hodges and he would have given Rudolph genuine competition for the No. 2 spot. Maybe the Steelers would have gone another direction, but that trade really was a terrible move.
