    Do we know if they tried but couldn't find a partner?

    Crazy that Jermod McCoy is still available going into day 3. He is easily a top 10 talent. Every team is scared away by the knee apparently. He may end up being the steal of the 2026 draft. Kind of like Trey Smith a few years ago who was the best OL in the draft but fell to the chiefs in 6th round. Wow.

    Dunker played far more zone blocking scheme than Pregnon which fits what the Steelers were doing in the run game (assuming they don't change). And Dunker's stats were accumulated as a tackle so it's tough to say what he will ultimately end up as a guard, i.e, possible higher ceiling than Pregnon. McCoy's knee has raised red flags around the league. Steelers don't need another Trice.

    I think Dunker looks very capable in zone blocking on tape. Obviously he was doing it from RT, but the concepts and movements are not dissimilar across the line whereas it would have been a bit tougher to project him moving from RT in a primarily ZBS to G in a gap scheme. Also, in my admittedly limited film watching of Pregnon he looked like a better fit in a gap scheme, though certainly capable in a ZBS. I think Pregnon is likely a 2026 starter at G irrespective of scheme, but Dunker could end up fitting better for what we want to do. I would have been happy with either.

    Even if Trice was never injured he was nothing more than a 3rd round pick. McCoy is a top ten player in the draft and a potential All Pro year in and year out. Waiting a year to get a player of his quality would be a steal this late in the draft.

    It's probably too late for that they should've done it earlier in the draft.

    I think the Steelers over reaction tonight is trading up ALOT to get a WR early in round 2. Khan has so much egg on his face he will try to oaci
    they had 12 picks to work with Omar is drunk. Could have moved up to get a solid prospect could have moved off to get a better pick next year or could have picked BS players he took the ladder.

    McCarthy talked about AFC North type of QB Nussmeier ain't it, he wanted a big physical QB with a big arm and big hands. McCoy is damaged goods might not even play this season, just what we need another undersized ILB in Louis.

    An issue that can easily be resolved by him sitting out a season. He will be 22 by the end of his second season in the NFL. I think he will be fine.

    That said, the concern is over if this next surgery will work or not. If it doesn't, rumor is that the unsuccessful surgery could end his career. My response is that if such were the case, why did he do so well in his private workout?!

    For me, Medical Sciene and Sports Rehab have come a very long way. If the issue is nerve based then fine. Otherwise, much ado about nothing imo. It is as a told you Knox;

    The NFL truly likes to overthink themselves more often than they should.

    They don't need another QB to get rid of Rudolph he already is likely on his way out, they still have some other holes to fill.

    I like Bell, but they already drafted a slot receiver. I think his best fit is in the slot as well.

    I could see them going after a size/speed guy outside. Maybe Bryce Lance or Jeff Caldwell out of Cincinnati.

    It should be interesting to see if they take another wideout.
