Wow, I'd probably have Dan Moore rated outside the top 40 Tackles (regardless of side). Great locker room guy (and by all accounts a great person), but not a very good player. He has struggled in pass protection his whole career and is coming off a season where he gave up the most sacks in the entire league. Looks like the Titans got desperate at LT and just signed the best they could on the market to try to protect their rookie. Can't imagine that they will be happy with their return.

Side note, hell yeah Dan Moore. Good for you man. Really maximized his earning potential. Can't hate the guy for that.

Good call. Glad we didn't entertain that. I'd be pissed giving him 10 million a year, let alone 20 lol

*Cam Ward silently weeps in the background*

Unless Pittsburgh signs a contract that is similar that is.

That would cancel the comp. pick out of the equation in 2026.

Metcalf doesn’t count against compensatory because he was a trade. Whatever qb we sign, outside of darnold, won’t count against compensatory. At least one and maybe two qbs will get us comps, along with Najee

Well, Pickens has one 1,000 yard season in 3 years. Granted, he missed some games in 2024, but so did Metcalf. He got 992 yards in 15 games. Had 967 in another year. He's pretty consistently been a 1,000 yard receiver for the past 5 years.

His career average puts him at 15.5 starts a year, 1,054 yards, and 8 TD's... That is fine enough production and puts him right in the middle of the pack for WR1's. If you take his career average and compare it to 2024, He'd be like 16th in yards among WR's, 12th in TD's and 20th in YPG. Nothin eye popping, but he's definitely going to benefit from having a freak like Pickens next to him.

It feels like a good move to me. We bought the rest of his prime and that dollar amount is going to look pretty tame in a year or two. This team desperately needed weapons and we got one.

Yeah, his numbers don't reflect a $30 million a year WR.

Over the last four years, he's averaged 4.3 catches, for 60 yards, and 0.45 TD per game.

Considering he's now the third highest paid WR in the league, let's look at his peers. Here's the other top 5 paid WR's over same period:

    J. Jefferson - 7 catches, 98 ypg, 0.5 TD's

    C. Lamb - 7 catches, 84.5 ypg, 0.52 TD's

    A. St. Brown - 7.5 catches, 83.5 ypg, 0.58 TD's

    T. Hill - 6.5 catches, 86.5 ypg, 0.58 TD's

    AJ Brown - 6.5 catches, 83 ypg, 0.49 TD's

Averaged out, those five have 2.7 more catches per game, and 27 more ypg. Extrapolated, thats 45 more catches per season(60% of Metcalf's season avg), and 459 more yards(44% of Metcalf's season average). Pretty significant.

Johnathan Allen (DT) would be a good addition here.
He's a 4-3 DT but would play in the mold of Heyward in a 3-4
He always reminded me of Mean Joe Greene in my days in Washington. Not as great, but that type of play.

I wouldn’t mind if we start Kyle Allen and treat this as a rebuilding year rather than clawing to a 9-8 record and missing out on a
In related news, both Mason Rudolph and Will Levis have asked to be traded to prolong their career.

Wow, just goes to show you that money is more important than winning
    A Superbowl. Blows my mind.

Moore is below average in pass protection, but he is a hell of a run blocker. If only he could figure out how to wipe with the other hand, he probably would be a hell of a right tackle.

Would you do your job for less money in order to make sure that your company is #1? I think we just need to take that view of things when wondering what is most important to people. It's their job and livelihood. It's also 99% of the money that 99% of players will make in their whole lives. Really puts it into perspective. I can't hate them for taking the money. Would be hard for me not to at those amounts.

Damn. That sucks. He would have been a perfect fit. I guess that was a pipe dream after they gave Metcalf that big contract.

It's not like he was going to go poor signing for a little less somewhere else.

I hope they don't end up overpaying Fields with Darnold gone.
