You're assuming Rodgers will sign with the Steelers, which he doesn't seem to want to do. Hostages, not volunteers now?

I'm sure Flacco chose Cleveland because he knows if Rodgers signs with Pittsburgh he won't play, with the Browns he will get more playing time.

Yes and if he doesn’t so what. You really think this team is going anywhere with Rudolph/Flacco? Even Rodgers is a long shot but at least he gives you a shot.

It’s almost a certainty they will draft someone so theres your backup or maybe even starter this season depending on who they take.

It is a bit humorous to me that we have a QB room of Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson and I still think we are better off than the Browns QB room.

There's that defeatist attitude again. I doubt the team is thinking that way. I certainly hope not. They should be trying to put the best possible team on the field this season. They have let too many solid players who could have helped them go this year, including the decent options for backup quarterback. That changes if they get Rodgers, thus pushing Rudolph into the backup role where he belongs. I'm simply pointing out that if they don't get him, unless Khan pulls something surprising out of his hat, this is another failed offseason. It is already a bad job to put themselves in that position.
