Agreed, but even at that I'm having trouble with their fixation with older/mid-tier CBs. I know they need to start putting some money into the offense, but gone are the days of having one good corner and value-adding the rest.

The plan was to have Wilson and KP. When KP bailed they brought in Fields. He was only ever here to backup Russ. He started because Russ was injured. They were willing to bring him back but not at $30M guaranteed. Just my opinion.

I think you're spot-on here. I really wouldn't be shocked to see the Steelers go back to Russ for one year and trade up for a QB next year. They're seemingly targeting players who will not impact the comp pick formula for the additional arsenal in 2026.

People won’t like this but if Sanders drops to 10 then the Steelers should trade up for him.

Didn’t cost that much for them to move up to 10 to get Bush.

That's the 200 million lottery question. Would you rather have a lump sum all at once paying a huge chunk in taxes or take 10 million a year for 20 years? Almost everyone I asks always says the full lump payment, very few see the advantage in have that 10 million every year.

I just realized that Zach Wilson is available. He's as talented as Fields. Throws better, doesn't run quite as well. He's only 25. Heard Denver wants him back. I think he might've matured and learned a lot out there with Nix and Sean Payton.

How is he worse than Danny Dimes? What's the worst thing that happens, we finish 4-13 and select Arch Manning at Point Park in 2026? That would be a shame!:lolol:

You're right, I wouldn't like it if he dropped to 21.

I'd rather do this in 2026 than now personally. In addition, Deion Sanders is gonna have a lot of say in where his son goes... or at least, that is what Deion has stated publicly. Who knows if he has changed his response?!

    One more thing.

If the Steelers do intend to nab either Wilson and/or Rodgers; book them getting Will Howard in Round 3 via a trade up. There is no way the team isn't going to.

Don’t think you have to worry, I don’t see him lasting past pick 5.

    Slay is washed.

They give a 2nd and $150M for another drama queen WR.

It's gonna be Rus, A-A-Ron, DD or a rookie at QB.

    WTF are they doing?

To me, he's just Mac Jones. Same thing. Supposedly good accuracy, "pro ready", just ok arm, good pocket mobility but not much of a runner, good when on time but bad under pressure, blah blah. The scouting report should be two words long, 'Nothing special.'

Why is it that this makes me think of the scene in Moneyball where he tells the coach to start player x and the coach says no I'm starting player y so Billy picks up the phone and trades him. Not that that is what Kahn is doing but I can't help but think can't Tomlin can't start Moore if he isn't on the team lol

I know we'll make some moves, but why are they sitting on so much money for? It's kind of wild given the talent off the board.
