Still, I wouldn't mind them taking a flyer on Kyle McCord if he's on the board in the 6th round. Especially if there is low value elsewhere. If they do not select a QB, I'm just fine with that, too.

 

Well, drafting any of those QBs wouldn't be a HR anyway.

Speed demon but very, very, very limited in terms of a route tree. Add in his injury history and you have a player who is dropping quite a bit.

 

That's exactly what they are going to do, at least some of the time. The question is how much. It is ridiculous to claim they drafted the kid to sit.

Anyone know anything about the huge RT prospect Cameron Williams out of Texas? I have little hope for Broderick Jones holding down LT so I’m assuming Fautanu will be the LT

 

Here's my amateur take..... I've been super busy since winter, zero time to research.

When I logged in Thursday for the first time in months, looked at a couple mocks, saw the 'hype' around us needing a QB...... I said to myself and close family friends..... We'll draft Derrick Harmon in the 1st, best available RB in the 3rd and Jack Sawyer in the 4th. I wavered a bit on the 4th round, considering maybe a backup QB like Howard or McCord, but said..... NO we should take BPA Jack Sawyer to help relieve TJ some.

So my take is.... I've been 100% right so far with NOTHING but a keyboard and 10 minutes of research. I seriously hope Omar and the FO have done more homework than me..... otherwise we are in trouble.

I figure, there was a gentleman's handshake with Rodgers that if they didn't draft a high QB, he'd come. I personally don't want him here, he's practically my age (old and slow)..... Sadly I think our best QB option is to ride Rudolph the Red Nose through this season and hope for some better options next year. I don't want to fall into the trap of being a Cleveland where you draft a new QB in the 1st every year. Build the other positions as a foundation and live with a mediocre QB for a minute (see mark malone, cliff stoudt, bubby brister, etc).

No idea. Probably more than I would have paid.
A QB room of Rogers, Mason and Howell is workable... not great but workable.
