Houston has to make some more noise in the Playoffs this year. 2026 will be the year to extend CJ. If there is ever a time for the Texans to take down the likes of Kansas City, Buffalo or Baltimore, 2025 is it.

So why didn't the nfl talk about how barryn been sitting there just like sanders.

But there's non sense talks about why sanders hasn't been selected.

Sanders was exposed for not being good at all in the byu and a couple other games. If a meh college defense could pick him apart, than every nfl team could.

Sanders daddy put plays together that made his son look great. then also childishly went and retired his number.

And let's not forget the childish set up of legendary and didn't care to attend the green room.

EDGE Depth is arguably the biggest need not named QB imo. Preston Smith is gone and having only the likes of Herbig isn't too reassuring. Adding in Sawyer definitely boosts the depth considerably.

I don't think so. They like rotational players usually filled by a veteran free agent

Probably some good food and you're now getting ALL the attention.

I am goign to see if I can make the green room next year. When they pan to this short, balding guy, someone will scramble to check their notes on this prospect. It'll throw Kiper for a loop, flipping through his notes and scratching his head. I'll have my friends calling me before every pick too.

Sawyer and Harmon feel like replacements or attempts at that.

I kinda think the Steelers had targeted QB Howard in the 5th all along

75% passing is good with a team that has struggled moving the chains. It's simply dumb to pass up Sanders.

He's cheap many 4th round QBs get allocated to the practice squad.

    Nah.

Need a much better piece to fully replace T.J. Neither will do that as Harmon is supposed to be Heyward's while Sawyer will be tremendous depth. If Pittsburgh is to target their future "Hellraiser", best to do so in 2027 or later.

    Or Kyle McCord.

Either or would be acceptable. Of the two though, I agree on Howard. Wouldn't mind him.

See, I think there would be no food in there as they probably were planning on not even having a Green room on Day 3.

LOL, the cleaning crew was knocking on the door every 15 minutes asking if they could clean the room now. :)

It could be part of planning for life without Watt, but they do rotate in four outside linebackers in the short term. Also, this may just be them thinking he is too good of a value to pass up.

This is where I spotlight out Front Office.
Right now, you stop playing games, you've got the players you wanted.
You have 2 7 picks.... a trade up to get Sander in your camp, I don't care call him the 4th QB.... you get him into camp and see what he's got.
    It cannot hurt you.

Cleveland drafting another RB. Steelers need to get another d-lineman.

Nobody forced Barryn to sit in the green room for three days, I have never heard of him until today.

Stephen A Smith is a blowhard. There’s no collusion. Off the field concerns matter, and they don’t necessarily have to be related to criminal misconduct to be concerns.

I hope so, drafting for need has really set us back the past 6 years or so. Get the talent, sort the rest out later. Reaching for needs means every round you're picking, you're draftnig a round lower (or two) talent.

I would have been happier with another DT/DE or Sanders. That said, there is a clear message that Khan/Weidl/Tomlin/Roony must have a clear plan at QB, so they haven't felt a need to scramble and reach.

Maybe there is a small school QB they like. I was okay with McCord a few months ago, maybe he's there in the 5th. Maybe they don't draft a QB this year, which would be very weird considering the depth chart. IF they think Skylar can be solid #3 and Rudolph a solid backup with spot starter ability, then they only neeed ONE QB and if they have a deal with Rodgers, then they're set until another reset in April 2026.

The scuttlebut is the Rodgers deal was done a long time ago, but didn't want to mess with their comp picks for next year. That does sound reasonable to me. This draft to this point re-affirms it.
